Awww yeaaahh – Happy birthday to me and fellow blogger Martin from Studenomics! It’s a good day to be alive, friends :) Nothing like some back to back celebrations to set the mood right! Unlike when we were kids and no one could ever attend our birthday parties, wha wha wha…
But if you were sneaky and celebrated a month *earlier*, let’s say, then perhaps you even got double the presents when all was said and done in the end ;) The first time at your fake bday party, and the 2nd time on your REAL one when people feel bad that you’re not getting any presents then! Haha… But I don’t know anyone who would do that…
It’s also Boxing Day for those celebrating in Canada and other interesting places like Australia (“Austria! Well, then. G’day mate! Let’s put another shrimp on the barbie!”).” Here’s what that means for those not in the know according to the Wiki:
“Boxing Day is traditionally the day following Christmas Day, when servants and tradesmen would receive gifts from their superiors or employers, known as a “Christmas box”. Today, Boxing Day is better known as a bank or public holiday… It is observed in the United Kingdom, Hong Kong, Australia, Canada, New Zealand, and some other Commonwealth nations… The first day of Kwanzaa in the United States also falls on December 26th.”
Okay, I think that’s all I have for you today… I’m getting the evil eye from someone telling me to get off the computer and go “enjoy myself.” But ehmm… this IS what I enjoy? I mean, yeah – call it nerdy, but can’t I do whatever I want on my birthday? Like, even cry if I want to? Jeesh…
But I guess it would be better to spend time with my little snuggle muffin walking around town and taking advantage of my shopping spree today that mom gives me every year… She knows I’ll always have some random hobby I’m into, and would rather see me in action finding happiness than trying to guess what type of oddities to get me this year ;) Perhaps like those coins I spend 1,000x their face value on ‘cuz they’re so damn cool? Haha… But we shall see… Off we go!

Thanks everyone!! I’m afraid I ended up becoming pretty sick in the middle of the day (which I’m still fighting off as I type this), but in the end it still turned out to be a most wonderful birthday :) The family and I just stayed on the couch all day/night lounging around and watching shows and I couldn’t do any work/shopping even if I wanted to – I was drained. Now we’re just praying Baby $ doesn’t catch our colds!
