How awesome is this?? Freakonomics on steroids! With lots of purrty pictures and diagrams – perfect for those of us A.D.D. kids ;) And it’s big & hard too! (that’s what she said?)
Whether probing the intricacies of sex change operations, the effectiveness of child car seats, or what really motivates people to do good, the Illustrated edition of SuperFreakonomics – by Steven D. Levitt and Stephen J. Dubner – employs photographs, drawings, and graphs that will lead readers to see the world in a bold, fresh way.

This is awesome. I read Freakonomics years ago and recently watched the film. I would love to see what’s the latest in fringe economics. Perhaps an early Christmas gift to myself.
I’m sick and tired of re-reading the free sample online, I want to see what happens next!
Pictures and graphs would make this book 110% greater. I want to see!
Because I like pictures!!! Oh and because I read their blog, but don’t get the full story very often.
Because books are sexy…
Freakonomics is an awesome book, and they say the book is always better than the movie so an illustrated edition would be even better!
Because I love behavioral econ (including Freakonomics!)!! I studied it in college and continue to read about it now :).
I’ve heard about Freakonomics but never took the time out to read it. No better time than the present (especially if it IS a present!)
I want it because I read Freakonomics (gift from my wife), then picked up Superfreakonomics in hardcopy because I enjoyed Freakonomics. Then I didn’t read it for the longest time, so I got it on my Kindle so I’d be more tempted to read it. But I still haven’t, so I might as well have another edition that would be even more tempting to read because it has tonnes of awesome pictures and stuff.
I want this book because Ive been called a freak by saving so much money and not going out with my family on vacations and ski trips.
I have heard of Freakonomics, but don’t really know what it is all about. I’ll see if I can get it from the library.
oh oh pick me! i contemplated buying a copy over the weekend because i’m a nerd. that’s pretty much it :)
Because the prospect of enjoying an illustrated, and free, version of Super Freakonomics is so inspirational that it brought me out of the woodworks to make my first comment.
I want this so I can give it to my bf for Christmas! LOL. He says he wants it because he’s “read the two books and he is interested to see what they can add with some graphics”. (Boring reason, I know.)
I love Freakonomics and I think reading it with infographics would be cool! Thanks so the chance!
I love their blog at the NYTimes! Would love to get this for myself for Christmas reading!
I’m looking for some new books to read. I just reread a few old classics and then donated them to charity.
I would love to win this! I have always enjoyed Freakonomics!
Because I am in Grad school, and haven’t read something I WANTED to read in a while HELP ME :o)
Because I like pictures and free things.
I can’t even front and make up anything. I want this book because it appears interesting!
Count me in as I enjoy the subject matter!
To understand how the unsaid / untold economy works so when things get freaky – I don’t freak out.
Use the illustrations to help understand and pass on to my class the importance of being knowledgeable and prudent money managers.
It’s my girlfriend’s favorite book, and I’ve never read it. I’d read her copy, but she left it in Zambia.
This would be an awesome Christmas present for me to give to her, and then I’d read it as well and everyone would benefit!!
I hate car seats so I’m really interested to see if they are effective or not. I enjoyed the first book so I think I’d like this one too.
Freakonomics made me rethink traditional thinking – which is healthy to do in all aspects of life, from religion, to financial planning, to our families, to our jobs. Fresh perspective is a gift in and of itself. When it comes in a book, well then, that’s all the more better.
I really find business and economic sexy! And big pictures and graphs would be really nice to look at, especially after staring at a computer screen for 12 -14 hrs during the work day. I have been able to steal a copy of the old book during lunch time from coworkers, but I would love a copy of my own. :)
Freakanomics is awesome, and pictures make everything better! Plus, I need some reading material.
I told my husband I refused to have children except in January or February based on the original Freakonomics. I can’t wait to see how these people will inadvertently dictate some area of my life again! (My husband wants to read it too.)
The holidays have been such a crook
There’s nothing in my wallet, go look
A new book I won’t see
For a while, golly gee
Unless you pick me for this great book
Superfreakanomics I’d love for myself
So would you please be my Christmas elf?
I’m on Santa’s good list
I think you’ve got the gist
That I’d like to see this book on my shelf
I have always liekd the books with many pictures, and economics made in pictures must be really fun to see.
Iam a math freak and loved loved loved freakonomics!!!! Read it last year and found it fascinating especially the algorithm for the cheating teachers!!
I’ve been meaning to read freakonomics, but just haven’t gotten around to it. A free, illustrated copy would probably be motivation enough!
Because I like purty pictures. I can “read” the book to my 19 month old this way.
I just read a review on the book earlier this week, but I hadn’t heard of it before then. I’d love to be able to read it.
This would be SO awesome! I’ve heard so much about this and really want to read it!
My Dad has been trying to get me to read the Freakonomics stuff for years.
I was just talking to a friend about that book. It sounds interesting since I haven’t read it yet.
I would love this book probably more than I loved the original one (which I loved alot). It is just so fascinating. It would also be great to share with my sons and spike their interest in science and other subjects!
Big fan of Levitt and Dubner..books, blog etc. This would be a great addition to my collection of their works!
I like books! Oh and it would be fun to read!
Love the Freakonomics blog, but I’m a librarian so books win every time!
I haven’t read the book and didn’t really know it existed until I read your post and then googled it. Now, if I don’t win it I’ll have to go buy it.
I love the original. As a graphic designer, I’m a sucker for visuals and so this new version would be the perfect early gift to myself!
is it to late to comment? sounds like a super awesome book!!
i want to get my freakon(omics).
I read Freakonomics over the summer and LOVED it! Would LOVE LOVE LOVE to have a copy of the second book. And I promise to pass it along to my friends, that means more people can read and recommend it!
