WordPress here we come!

Tomorrow, Mrs. Micah and I will be moving BudgetsAreSexy to WordPress :) It’s pretty damn scary if you ask me, but it was about time I made the switch from Blogger esp now that they’re closing down FTP users (like me) which would have shut down this blog! Ack. Luckily I’m totally in love w/ WP though, so I’m also excited to have a more robust system in place here.

It may get a little wonky here over the weekend, but we’ll do our best to minimize any issues and apologize in advance!

Welcome to the WP family! I moved from Squarespace to WP earlier this year, and even though I liked SS, WP is super cool.

Nice blog. I like the feel and look of your site!

yeah, i’m not sure if it’s wordpress or what today, but my traffic is much higher today than most saturdays…although perhaps because my site was down yesterday? either way, daddy like!

I love word press, I can’t believe how easy it is to manipulate! I have already built a website for a friend using it! Site looks great!

I moved PennywiseFamily over from Blogger last summer. I LOVE WordPress and my traffic went way up too (WordPress is much better for traffic).

Add Askimet though if you haven’t–it’ll really tame spam.

There’s also a pretty good SEO plugin.

Congrats on the switch J! So much easier commenting now (hopefully don’t have to retype my name, email etc everytime).

    Gluck!

Welcome to wordpress. Personally, I love it. I had started on Blogger which had tons of limitations. I saw instant improvements even with an entirely new blog when I made the leap. Looks like it went well – congrats!
Oh, and thanks for including my post in your roundup; glad you enjoyed!

This is so awesome! there were so many times I tried to leave a comment before but it didn’t go through :D hopefully having wordpress would change that! Welcome!! One day, I will try to get the software instead of just an account at wordpress.com!

  16. J. Money March 15, 2010 at 3:37 PM

Cool! If only I knew commenting was such a problem for people before, I would have switched a long time ago. I think you’ll like the software better, but either way at least you’re on WordPress so you dont’ have to deal with all the crazy issues ;) Thx for stopping by!
