Answer This Question for a Chance to Win $5,000

How will you live rich, while spending smartly in 2014?

If you have an answer, I have the perfect giveaway for you :) But only if you like $5,000 in cash and/or a financial makeover (not to be confused with “make out”) with David Bach. You know, the guy who wrote The Automatic Millionaire.

And if that’s not convincing enough I don’t know what drugs you’re on, there are 5 runner up awards of $1,000 each PLUS a one-on-one consultation from a not-as-famous-or-at-all money coach. Yum!

And if THAT’S not convincing enough boy, what does a guy have to do around here, yours truly will be one of the judges reviewing the entries. Not that I can play favorites of course, but it sure would be cool if this little ol’ blog produced the grand prize winner over those others participating.

moven david bach giveawaySo what are you waiting for? Gather up your most authentic, passionate, and unique answers (Hint: that’s what we’ll be judging!) and thenΒ submit ’em on over. It’s all via Facebook, and should take you approximately 2.3 seconds to do. Not counting the time for you to actually come up with it ;)

[ENTER HERE: Facebook]

Entry and voting ends January 31st. Big thanks to Moven (A debit account that tracks your money for you) for putting on the giveaway, and also for including me in the fun. It’s very Moven-ating! Get it? Moven-ating! Instead of Motivating? Sigh…

May you live sexy rich lives whether you win this or not!

  1. a terrible husband... January 8, 2014 at 5:58 AM

I will spend more on experiences with my family this year than last!

By eating healthy food and snack, avoid drinking beers and wine, working out and having a good well balanced lifestyle. You’re rich when you are healthy and by spending smartly on your money on good foods.

I plan on living rich by starting my own business that will hopefully provide the lifestyle I want. But I’ll definitely have to spend smartly to get there. Knowing what’s worth spending on and what isn’t is one of the toughest parts so far. You can’t be a tightwad or you’ll never grow, but you really can’t waste money either. Not an easy line to straddle.

Great answers, guys! Make sure you’re leaving them on Moven’s facebook page too so you’re officially entered :)

I’m living sexy, rich, and “cheap” by developing my practical skills in the New Year- sewing (can’t keep paying for tailoring), cooking (expanding my repertoire so I can stop eating out so much), and finally, my big one for this year is coding (gotta stop hiring out to keep up with the digital age).

  6. Nicole January 8, 2014 at 9:45 AM

I will live rich by drinking the free coffee at work and the fountain water. Trust me, its a huge sacrifice! -__-

Ok besides that… I plan to budget, stop visiting restaurants for dinner, and put all extra cash towards debt because this year my goal is to become debt free.

Don’t judge me harshly because I’d much rather have the consultation than the $5,000….

but is the consultation with a money couch or a coach?

    1. J. Money January 8, 2014 at 10:20 AM

Hahahahahaaha….. If ONLY we had a money couch to give away! Sadly though (or, better for you), it is indeed some coaches we’ll be hooking people up with ;) Good couch. Catch!

I plan to spend most of my waking hours with my kid. It’s very rewarding to see him grow up and become a little boy. Of course, he’s now in trouble at preschool for destructive behavior, but we’re working on that.

    1. J. Money January 8, 2014 at 12:35 PM

That’s a beautiful goal to have, my man. Your kid (and future kids!) are going to love you for that :)

  9. Christine @ ThePursuitofGreen January 8, 2014 at 11:24 AM

With so much going on last year I feel like I was unable to focus on my family and friendships and myself. I want to make sure those relationships last with more quality time! That can be as simple as catching up over the phone more often, doing video chats, and making sure I remember important events in their lives. I also need to focus on my overall well-being in terms of mental and physical health. By changing my mindset and daily habits I can treat myself better too! All this can be done without spending a lot of money and is more a matter of slowing down and taking the time.

    1. J. Money January 8, 2014 at 12:36 PM

Agreed! Awesome one. Make sure you’re entering it on that facebook page too so it counts!

  10. Yana January 8, 2014 at 12:13 PM

Boy was that frustrating. Also took about 30 minutes to use the abominable CAPTCHA, but by golly, I got it in. OMG, I did the audio CAPTCHA since the “feature” makes half the visual gargage unreadable, and the audio is like listening to demons. Unbelievable.

    1. J. Money January 8, 2014 at 12:37 PM

Weird, really? haven’t experienced that, I’m sorry :( I’m glad you got it in though!! Could be the most you ever got paid for 30 mins of work :)

    1. J. Money January 8, 2014 at 12:38 PM

      Haha cool! Good luck! :)

  11. Yana January 8, 2014 at 12:40 PM

    Yeah, it’s a great prize!

  12. Becky January 8, 2014 at 4:38 PM

By living on a budget! We have scaled back some of our habits, and started to look for ways to save more money on everyday items.

  13. Aimee January 8, 2014 at 6:19 PM

PICK ME!!! PICK ME!!! PICK ME!!!!!!

  14. Stephanie January 8, 2014 at 9:06 PM

I will continue the random acts of kindness, support and time with my loved ones. It never fails to bring me a huge smile when some I just paid for coffee for screams “that lady just have me free coffee”! It’s very cool and I so won’t change that and other completely unexpected acts. Ever. Good luck to all who enter and may the most sexy touching and world-improving thought win. I love reading all the posts. Y ‘all rock in your own way

    1. J. Money January 10, 2014 at 8:38 PM

I love it! I hope you entered it on Facebook though or it won’t count! So please do :)

  15. Lauren January 9, 2014 at 4:55 PM

I’m determined to win this thing! I entered on Facebook and am tied with #4 currently. Trying to weed out some of these fakers who obviously (judging from their Facebook pages) just apply to every sweepstakes willy-nilly!

J, do YOU get to vote at this stage? My cause is worthy! :)

    1. J. Money January 10, 2014 at 8:44 PM

Haha yeah, whenever there’s a giveaway worth more than $2.00 the “pros” will come out and try and lock in on the whole thing. I’ve run two giveaway sites before and it’s amazing how many hours people spend on it! But it’s all good. Usually when skill is involved to win it evens the playing field more :)

And yup! I can vote! Though it’s the last one that counts the most – once it’s over and us judges review… so keep on grabbing those votes! The ones that have a lot of course get on our radar faster :)
