They’re now accepting entries! ;) And I better win free tickets too cuz I’ve been reading their dang newsletters every week waiting for this announcement, haha… it’s been like 3 months now, remember the last time I blogged about it? (And for all you who expressed interest, now’s your chance too!)
That sculpture up there is exactly what I’m gonna bring w/ me too, and I guarantee I’ll make the show too. How many people do you think will be walkin’ around there w/ mohawks? Who has something worth at *least* one or two million dollars? ;) If you’re a member of the crew reading this right now, you better be taking notes- I won’t disappoint you!
Anyways, here are the dates and places Antiques Roadshow will be showing up:
- Boston, MA June 9
- Myrtle Beach, SC June 23
- Rapid City, SD July 14
- Cincinnati, OH July 21
- Corpus Christi, TX August 4
- Seattle, WA August 18
And before you get any funny ideas like I did, you can only apply ONCE to only ONE location. Which sucks, cuz I’d pretty much fly anywhere to experience that so I can check it off my list. But for now I’ll just have to hope that South Carolina is feelin’ the love and helps me win my lucky 2 tickets inside. Oh yeah, each person selected gets another ticket to bring someone – pretty cool.
You ready to enter yet? You got your valuables by your side? Apply now and be a nerd like me!

PS: In all seriousness, my family says that Madonna statue could be valued anywhere from $10k to $20k. Not sure how, or where, they got those numbers from, but I’d like to solve the mystery once and for all!

Is it wrong I am flashing back to an episode of Will and Grace where they go on Antique Roadshow with a teapot? :-)
That would be such a cool experience. I hope you get selected!!
If you get picked, you’d better let us know when it airs!! :-)
@jolie – Haha, I never saw that episode but it sounds pretty hilarious :) We’ll see what happens!
@Stephanie – You bet I would! Even if they tell me I have a fake, and it’s worth $2.00 ;)
If you go to Cincinnati you can take all your profits and take all your fans to King’s Island for the day. Or spend it all on Chili… people in Cincinnati sure do love them some chili!
She’s beautiful! It reminds me of a statue from my childhood that was in the church I attended until I was eight. Then we moved and the church we attended was ‘modern’.
I love churches that have the ‘old world’ look and feel to them. Too bad my Parish is very modern looking (however, it always feels like coming home when I walk in).
Too cool! Glad to see they are coming to Seattle – I applied!
For some reason that show never caught my attention…. It seems boring….
Ah! Come to the Seattle show! I don’t have any antiques. Not my thing.
@Brian – Haha… I thought of applying to that one, actually, but figured I could probably go to the beach or something in SC :) Since it’ll be Summer time and all. But one day I’m gonna finally visit Cincinatti! Never been yet.
@Kathy – Yeah, I’m a much bigger fan of older looking churches too. They’re so cozy! Maybe this statue is from a church? I’ve heard it’s from a ship of some sort, but then others told me it was prob. from an old school church in Italy. Hopefully we’ll find out soon! :)
@Sonya – Awesome!! Let me know if you end up going, okay? That would be cool :)
@Dannielle @ Odd Cents – Haha… well, it pretty much is if you don’t like antiques or surprises about that kinda stuff ;) It’s def. not for everyone.
@Jenna, Adaptu Community Manager – Maybe you should apply then, so if you win you can take ME!! Then I’ll see you in Seattle finally ;) Hehe…
