[That would be $200 in *money* we’re giving away, fyi – not a chipmunk valued at $200 :)]
Hidey ho, neighbors! We haven’t done a giveaway in quite some time, so when the fine folks at Chippmunk.com reached out – a new coupon site – I happily accepted their offer to give one of you lucky bastards chipmunks some cash :)
You’re welcome.
Sooooo…. let me first tell you a little about these guys, and then we shall get to the giveaway rules/entry methods. And you’ll be happy to know they help differentiate themselves from the other players in the game by one simple variable we all know around here as “budgeting.” Woohoo!
In fact, let me just show you in pictures rather than explain everything which is kinda boring:
They have 3 main tenants they strive for too:
- Save consumers time by making it easy to assess the best deals from related stores
- Save consumers money by publishing only valid, working coupons and offers (that would be nice!!)
- Help consumers discover new places to shop
It’s that 2nd one that I like a lot ‘cuz man do a lot of them blow in that department… I mean, makes sense since stores and discounts are changing 24/7, but still – when over half you click don’t work it doesn’t make you want to come back time and time again… But I digress.
The point: Chippmunk is a new coupon company out there trying to relate the best to customers. You’ll have to check it out and see for yourself whether they’re doing a good job of it or not :)
How to Win $200 In Cash
And by “cash” I mean a $200 Visa gift Card to spend as your heart desires :) Hopefully by using Chippmunk to make it go farther too…
You can enter a total of two times by following the two methods below, but you MUST at least follow #1 in order to be entered. So you can be entered just once if you do #1 only, OR you can be entered twice if you answer both #1 and #2 below – totally your choice.
Here are your entry methods:
- Click over to Chippmunk.com and tell us what you think! The good, the bad, the ugly. Just drop us your honest opinion in the comments below to help them with feedback.
- Tell us what you’d do with this $200? Bday gifts? Xmas presents? Something nice for yourself?
Leave each of your answers in a separate comment below, and you shall be entered for those 200 sexy smackers up for grabs. The giveaway will run until this Sunday night at midnight, November 10th, and then shortly after we’ll announce the winner which will be selected by Random.org.
Good luck my furry friends! Hope you like the site!

I love how it has the days best coupons front and center. The search by budget is also a nice feature. One thing I first thought when checking out the website – it seems kind of “busy” (alot going on). That was really the only bad thing I could find.
If I won the $200, I would use it on Christmas presents.
I like how it has the option to sort by destination. Although lots of companies do ship to Canada, I have been burned – doing a 1/2 hr of shopping to realize I can’t actually place my order. This sort feature is very handy!!
I agree with Jaimie, the site is a bit busy, but it’s pretty well organized.
I like the idea of “Today’s Best Coupons” (under the assumption that these actually change at some frequency), but 7 of the 8 shown were for sites or companies I would never use. It would be cool if these were customized based on a person’s viewing and spending history on the site.
I would use the $200 toward airfare to visit my family. Thanks for a fun giveaway!
I like that the site shows all discounts (like email sign up, veterans etc.), but I don’t see where I enter my budget. I selected a category and then it told me I had a $125 budget. Also, there is no technology section (I’m looking for a printer). I agree with the above posters that the site is a visual overload.
If I won the $200 I use it for expenses to start up my new tax business and to replace a couple sad garments that I’ve had for waaaayyy too long.
I like the budget option and I like the category search (I just tested it using the combo of pets and budget, since I intend to buy some pet meds soon). I always search for coupon codes after I already have stuff in the cart, seeing the codes at multiple stores before I shop (since for some stuff, I really don’t care where I get it from) is nice, and adding the budget means I won’t get to the cart, then find a coupon that makes me need to add some unnecessary catnip mice to to the order to get the “deal.”
The site’s layout is nice, of course I run the risk of then seeing “today’s best coupon” on the main site for some clothing store I didn’t need to be “window shopping” around in.
If I won the $200 it would probably be for fun Christmas “gifts” for myself and my husband (we don’t really do surprise gifts for each other anymore, and for Christmas we agreed to not do a formal exchange with each other since for our birthdays we gave each other large presents this year).
I like the filters and it is easy to use. Inputting how much you want to spend is a good feature.
It’s nice to know sites like this exist (although it looks like you have to subscribe to really stay up-to-date with deals), but I guess I just don’t shop enough to really be enamored one way (positively) or the other (negatively).
But with $200 from then (ha!) I would put half toward Christmas gifts and half toward Students Loans.
The $200 would go to Christmas with hopefully some left over for groceries.
1. I searched by department > toys. Set my budget at $25 because that is what I want to spend on a Christmas gift. I did enjoy everything being right there instead of searching the web for deals. I tried to select a different category from the results page, but nothing happened. Maybe a kink to be worked out?
2. $200 is a lot to me right now. I would probably spend some of it on Christmas gifts and some of it on myself. My birthday is the day after this contest closes, so if I won, I’m thinking I would get myself some new boots I’ve had my eye on.
I like that it’s streamlined for you, but it would be nice to be able to choose from more categories.
I’d use the $200 for a mother/daughter weekend with my 5 year old.
This is such a cool concept. I searched for chocolate coupons on their mobile site and was pleasantly surprised by how much came up. However, a) i couldn’t figure out how to adjust my budget and b) the “save $x” was a little weird – “Save $31” for “25% off sitewide” at Lindt chocolate. Oh, but i guess the “save” is based off budget, which is cool. Maybe $125 just shouldn’t be the default? I *wish* i had that much to spend! ;)
I should spend this on gifts in general so we don’t have to strain our budget so much at Christmas, but i would probably blow it on going to eat and then buying a much more kick-ass gift for my husband fhan i was going to.
“Money”…I share your pain with coupons that are no longer around. I just recently had this problem while searching for a propane coupon for the grill. Found plenty of offers but when you clicked….”no dice”. My plan was to get a $3 off on purchase coupon AND then send in for the $3 rebate…it appears this isn’t gonna happen. If the folks at Chipmunk can address this…they’ll be rich!
If I were to win the $200 … would put the money toward “major tuneup” on my 10 year old pick up that needs some TLC. Thanks for the offer!!
I like that you can search either by store, or by “department”. Sometimes i’m store specific b/c i have a gift card, but other times the store doesn’t really matter.
With $200 i’d probably use it on Christmas presents.
Agreed with Jack, I’m always running into the problem of finding old coupons when I search online. I took a look at the all stores list, and there’s a lot of places I already shop, so I’ll definitely be coming back when I have some things to buy.
The $200 would definitely be going towards the Christmas shopping this year.
I like it! I thought being able to search for coupons within your budget was a great feature, because really, I don’t need a coupon that only kicks in at $100 if I have just $50 to spend. And the selection was pretty good, too. Gave me some ideas for my Chanukah shopping!
So if I win the $200, it will definitely go for a new suit for my hubs — he’s going on the job market!
The site looks nice… unfortunately it didn’t come up with either store I searched for, but it might be nice around the holidays for a last minute gift idea (like the restaurant.com gift cert)
If I won the $200, it would all go to my emergency fund… need to get that to a comfortable 6-months of living expenses before I can start working on my other financial priorities!
This site looks like something I would definitely use. A lot of the coupons are for stores I’ve recently been looking at. It’s also very user friendly, easy to use. I do wish there were more categories though.
If I won the money I’d buy an awesome 30th anniversary present for my in laws. Using a store from chippmunks list of course!
I would buy Christmas presents for my two adorable children!!!
I like the layout of the website. It looks neat and organized the way it’s broken out into sections on the main page such as Today’s Best Coupons, How it Works, etc. It’s definitely a great feature to be able to search for a coupon based on your budget. Coupons such as “25% off when you spend $100” are my least favorite kinds of coupons, considering I typically was not planning on spending $100 to begin with, so it’s great that the budget feature will help to filter those types of coupons out.
I like the budget slider and being able to search by store. I also like on a store page it lists “competitor’s deals” which can be helpful to find other places to shop.
$200 card – that’s going to the 8 birthdays in December my family has!
And I would use the $200 to buy Christmas gifts for my family.
oh, well separate comment for the $$… (hopefully it pays to read directions)
$200 card – that’s going to the 8 birthdays in December my family has!
Chippmunk review:
Very easy to navigate. You see a lot of “thrown together” coupon sites, but this is not one of them.
Actually very useful. Ctrl + d.
I love the site, tons of great deals to be found. Love the search by department feature.
If I win the $200. I plan on helping my daughters and grandchildren.
If I win the $200 would come in handy right now. My wife and I would use the money to for groceries. Formula is crazy expensive for twins.
Thanks for the chance.
1. When filtering for fitness, items for printers, TVs etc came up for Sam’s Club. Other than some funky results, I do like the customizable search, much better than other coupon sites.
2. This will def go to Christmas, we got hosed this year with our furnace deciding to shed its mortal coil, so our Xmas $$ was diverted to that oh-so-necessary expense :)
thanks for the contest!
A
After you search, the page is really really busy. The logos are tiny, so it’s hard for me to figure out what store is what (baby gap’s logo is minuscule text on a dark blue background) and then the coupons are themselves confusing. Save $25 = 20% off one item? Save $25, 20% off $100 Sitewide on first order on Welcome to Look.com? Just too much stuff going on.
I’d use the $200 on some new furniture.
Found some of the categories very broad, but you can quickly search and finds some coupons. I went in looking for electronics cat but didn’t find it. :(
If I win the $200 I’d get a jump on the families Christmas shopping, or maybe towards the new PS4.
It’s pretty! I’d sock the $200 away, but that’s so boring.
The site looks like a good place to start if I don’t necessarily know where I want to shop. A lot of times I have a specific store in mind before I leave the house, so in that case I would just Google search for the specific store’s name. However, if I am just in the market for a more broad coupon, I will check it out!
I like the concept but I suck at using coupons!!! I always forget!
If I won $200, I would use it to buy Christmas gifts…that should almost cover my list :)
Since it’s a Visa gift card, I’ll probably just use it in place of normal everyday purchases. With Christmas coming up, it’d definitely go towards gifts for my family!
1. I searched in the fitness category, and I got offers for TV’s. At the moment, I’m not impressed.
2. I’d use the money for Christmas shopping!
Great site – has what I want when I want it (so I’m not sorting thru expired and unapplicable deals). Thanks!
I would get my nephew cute diapers and my sister an engagement gift!
I liked how it was easy to navigate and that it suggested other places that i have not heard of before..that could really save money!
if i won the $200–i’d use it for presents for family, friends and me! :) Thanks!
As for the website – great way to learn about new companies and get gift ideas. Too bad they don’t like to Etsy shops though I appreciate the Ecofriendly tab.
I think it’s a great idea and I like the idea of tailoring it to your budget. Like others have mentioned, it’s a little busy but still easy to use and navigate. If I win the $200, I would put it towards new jewelry making materials – invest back into my handmade nautical jewelry shop!
I like the set up of Chippmunk, it’s different from most other websites like it. other websites can get a bit overwhelming.
I’d use the $200 towards our wedding fund – gotta save for the big day! I like how Chippmunk has coupons to sites I love, like ModCloth.
As far as what I would do with an extra $200. I’d probably use it to pay an extra payment on something to help get rid of Student Loan debt faster (I hate my student loan).
I love how easy the site is to navigate! You can quickly find what you are looking for!
Pretty awesome site! Makes it so you don’t have to scroll through all the crap you’re not interested in.
I would use this money to cover all my Christmas shopping!
I would use the money to buy a bunch of smaller gift cards so I can start doing giveaways on my own site. Although I’d probably split that up and use some of it for Christmas or some other junk :)
seems like a user friendly site. I will try it while christmas shopping in a few weeks!
Re Chippmunk – looks interesting, may try the glasses offer that came up. But I still have issues with ‘saving by spending’.
If I won the $200. it would go for the new tires we need STAT.
Love the options on this site. I like not having to sort through lots of coupons/offers that don’t apply to me and my family
My daughter and two granddaughters just moved back home for 9 months while my son-in-law is deployed to Afghanistan for the fourth time – I think the $200 would be well spent on food and goodies for my grandbabies and some treats to send overseas.
1) This is awesome! I really liked the ways you could narrow down your options according to payment time, arrival, shipping fees, etc. That way you could be sure you get what you WANT, but also what you NEED. Nothing is worse then finding a deal and they don’t accept the way you need to pay, or if you need it right away and they only do 14 day delivery or something. The way they have it organized is a big help!
2) And I would probably save the money for Christmas shopping too!
JM,
Ok, I was intially confused because to the right of the word “SEARCH:*” I thought it was an open string for me to type a subject to search for. I was clicking in the area to no avail. It wasn’t until I hovered over the “find coupons…” buttons that I realized that I was being given 3 options to search. The word “or” btwn the buttons was only showing the top half of the word (browsing using IE7).
I would ask that the $200 to be sent to the Food Bank or upgrade my browser but that’s free!
I think it’s a very well put together site. I like that they put the best coupon at the very top and allow you to search either by department or store. I also liked the option to shop by budget amount.
Nice site! Love the budget filter and other filters. Makes it easy to navigate.
Seems like a pretty good site, but aimed more at Americans than Canadians. I’m skeptical that most of the coupons I’d find wouldn’t be valid here in Canada. But the website set-up is cool and easy to find what you are looking for.
If I won I would use the money for Christmas gifts.
I will use the $200 for gas and Christmas shopping!
I’d spend the $200 on Christmas shopping this holiday season!
I like the many search filters.
I would spend the $ on moving costs :)
I like that there is a search feature. I also like the budget bar slider. But, as many others have said, the website looks very busy, and that is distracting.
I’d use the $200 for holiday expenses!
I like how the site shows only working coupons (that is one of the negatives of Retailmenot.com) and I do like the “Today’s Best Coupons” section for its convenience. However, I don’t like the fact the site looks so busy. Maybe removing some stuff to leave more whitespace would make it look better.
If I got the money then I would probably add it to my dividend portfolio.
Looks like a good site, but am not a big shopper. I’d be thrilled to win the gift card. It would go to Christmas presents for my girls.
Thank you for the chance!
As a non-shopper, I was a little confused about the search process at first, but it only took a couple minutes to get the hang of it. After I chose my category it looked like the program randomly chose a budget for me, but once I figured out how to adjust the budget, I was good to go.
I was recently laid off, so $200 would really come in handy. I would most likely spend it on moving expenses. The job market for my skill set is not very good at my current location. I own a second home which I am renting out in another location, which has a much better job outlook for me. So we are tentatively planning to sell our current residence and move back to our old house after the holidays. I would just feel wrong about kicking out our tenants right before Christmas.
The website is much more image heavy than I would like and seems more cluttered compared to say retailmenot.com. I do like that it separates coupons into codes, sales, and free shipping though. Also I think they should expand to include more categories such as electronics, appliances, tools, furniture, etc.
With the $200 I would buy a microsd card for my phone and new keyboards/mice for my computers.
I like the idea of picking your budget, but would like more categories, or maybe a “search by item”, because I wasn’t familiar with a lot of the stores that came up under the ‘clothing’ category, and couldn’t tell which ones might have outerwear.
If I win the $200, I’d use it for christmas shopping!! Either way, I’ll be trying out the new site for my gift shopping :)
I love the concept of Chippmunk! I think it would be helpful if the Search box was positioned closer to the top of the page once you get into the site. After I had looked at some coupons, I wanted to search for a particular store and had to scan around and scroll down the page before I found the Search box at the bottom of the lefthand tool bar.
If I win the $200, I’d either add it to our House Fund (down payment for our first house!) or use it to get my husband a trap bar for our home gym (birthday/Christmas present).
I like the budget slider, you can look for deals you can actually afford.
I would use the $200 card for Xmas gifts and take $200 cash from our Xmas budget and put it in our Efund or Roth…………pick me pick me :)
1. I like the website, I would like it better with more categories.
2. If I won the $200 I would put it toward my book rentals for next semester. I never have enough.
I like that the website puts the best offer in each catagory on top. It saves time looking for the best thing.
I would use the $200 for extra Christmas money!
I LOVE chipmuck! It’s especially great that you can sign up for email alerts for just your favorite stores from chipmunk’s website. Plus the interface is super pretty :)
If I had $200 it would make my wedding budget $200 greater! And wedding budgets can never be big enough ;)
Nice looking site. I would use for XMAS presents
I can’t imagine using a site like Chippmunk, because I don’t really get it. I do shop online without encouragement, but once I am making a purchase, I will go to Coupon Cabin or the like to try to get the price of what I am going to buy down. I don’t look elsewhere, I don’t want to compare to another merchant. Just googling often gets me a discount. Now if Chippmunk had a discount on what I was buying and I found it there by googling, I’d use it. The Chippmunk website itself looks like an advertising site. Not interesting to me.
Winning the $200 would be awesome and I would use it toward living expenses such as groceries.
1. The site has a good concept; I use similar coupon sites during research and purchase phases of online shopping. However, my initial reaction is “meh, this doesn’t hold my attention.” I saw retailers with whom I’m familiar, but from whom I wouldn’t purchase goods or services. Perhaps the site just isn’t relevant to me because I’m not actively in a research or purchase phase, and rather, I’m just looking at the site. This isn’t a place I’d go to just browse to kill time, but I might return if I had something specific in mind.
I agree with the previous posters that the layout, while it tries to be clean and simple, is visual overload. Unfortunately, images are what draws attention, so I’m not sure it’s something that can be helped.
The first time I entered the site, I was given a default budget of $125 once I clicked on the search page. I changed it to $10, scanned, then closed the page. Upon re-opening the site and selecting a new category, the budget defaulted to $1. I would recommend some consistency, whether it’s always the default value or the last entered value is saved in a session variable.
2. I would use the $200 towards my first MBA class next semester.
Website seems cool. I like that you can sort by store or category. Too many ads though
If i win I’ll use the money to get some christmas shopping done for my son, nephew and mom
I really like the filters that are available, and I totally wish I’d known about this yesterday, because there was a great coupon for a place I just shopped at ;-)
It wasn’t necessarily intuitive to use right away, and I think I’ll need to play around with it a bit to get the most out of the site, and to find the coupons that would work best for me. I do a lot of online shopping though, so this will turn into a valuable site.
Right now, although I’d love to put it to something fun, $200 would go a long way to fixing my car, which is having a a few issues currently. As it stands, right now I’m going to be dipping into the Christmas fund – thank goodness I can mostly knit presents from my stash of yarn!
With the $200 I commit to do the following
1. Buy 100 $2 bags of nuts
2. Feed 400 starving chipmunks 1/4 of a bag each
3. Solve global chipmunk hunger.
Kaboom
I love the idea of a site which only has valid coupons. At first the site was a little overwhelming with so many ads on the side and options but once I started playing with the filters it seemed pretty intuitive.
I would use the $200 to buy travel gear for my upcoming trip to New Zealand!
I like the layout of the website and how colorful it is. And that they have only current promotions listed.
I would use the $200 to replenish the “Pet Care” category of my budget as I had to use all the funds in it recently (plus some) for an unexpected medical treatment for my cat.
I like the color coding of the deals and the tabs to sort by shipping, codes, sales, etc.
I would use the money toward Christmas presents!
I like that it shows this is the best coupon on the top. It’s so easy to navigate and find what I need.
I want to buy an ipad air so it will go toward it.
While I like the idea of the site, I’m not sure I would use it regularly. I’m a Googler, I don’t have loyalties to any coupon sites, just whatever comes up first!
The layout is a bit cluttered for my taste, but I like the “How much do you plan to spend?” feature.
I can’t afford to go home for Christmas this year (holiday plane tickets are crazy expensive) so I’m postponing my trip until January. So I would use this $200 towards my after-Christmas plane ticket!
If I came into an unexpected $200 I would save half and buy myself some sexy boots with the other half! That’s mature, right? ; )
Pretty cool website! I searched for Jcrew and got a sale information bit. This website has more info than other coupon websites :)
I’d use the $200 to buy Christmas gifts for sure!
I like that it basically corrals the latest deals for all of my favorite stores in one place, so I don’t have to subscribe to everyone’s store newsletter and clutter up my email box.
If an extra $200 dropped into my lap right now… I would probably use it online to shop for Christmas gifts, and then move $200 of my Christmas gift money over to pay down my mortgage.
The site looks very interesting! Can’t wait to have more time to check it out!
I would use the $200 to stock up on pantry staples and donate some items to the local food bank. Thanks for the chance!
I clicked over to that site – my first thought is “I have no idea where to start” . Landing page is a little busy!!!
These deals are exciting, especially since it’s sites I shop at anyways. It’s so easy to search.
If I won the $200, I would be able to put it towards the new mattress I need.
It’s kind of busy. I would take out everything but the savings start here and how it works.
If I won the $200, I would spend it on food for my family.
It’s a nice concept, I like the idea. I would appreciate more filters though…for example, when I look at clothing, many of these stores I don’t recongnize (so that’s cool, new stores), but then I wind up clicking into some that only sell baby/children items. Still not bad, but I had some jeans for myself in mind. It would be nice to know a little more about the stores up front. I don’t think this site exceeds the function of other bargain hunter sites personally. It has a nice interface, simple and easy, no registration required and no pesky emails. Although I like the site overall, I don’t see myself being a frequent visitor to it.
I would use $200 to get my wife a new cell phone that actually works! lol
#1 LOOOVE the idea of saving! Looks like it will be a great site.
#2 definitedly Christmas presents; just recently paid $1200 towards repairs to my ancient car & that blew my budget for Christmas.
This may sound like a silly comment, but I don’t like the color scheme. I think it would be better if they separated the stores by color, like if you search for Halloween the box for deals in Costume Super Center is grey, but the box for all deals at buy costumes is ‘some other color.’ I think it would be easier to look at than the turquoise they choose for all deals. Either that or make the background of each box gray (or some other color) and keep the actual text boxes white rather than turquoise. I think that would work pretty well too.
I’d use the money to buy a vitamix, those things are super expensive, but that would help pay for part of it.
The premise of the site is smart. I get inundated with coupons in my inbox for things I don’t want or can’t afford. I like the idea that I can tell the site what I am looking for and it offers up results right away. It’s like google, only smarter!
Another great feature is that it breaks down the type of savings: Codes, Free Shipping, or Sales. I like that!
I thought the site was a little busy. Lots of colors and buttons and things going on. Maybe some of that stuff could be hidden “below the fold”? I did like the search function and the budget adjustment tool. It’s a cool site and I’ll probably use it in the future!
If I get the giftcard, I will use it on Christmas gifts for friends and family. And I’ll take the money I *did* have budgeted for that and use it to buy next year’s country megaticket for myself!
I would use the 200.00 to finish up my Christmas shopping.
The website has cruelty-free section! I’ve been trying to make the switch and the $200 gift card would be used for that.
Love the filtering system they have in place on Chippmunk! It makes it easy to search for coupons even tho I don’t know where to buy something. The website gets a bit cluttered though because of all the stuff they have on it.
GC would go toward Christmas gifts!!!
O like how easy it is to use (at least what I’ve tried!). I also like the large variety of coupons.
The money would definitely go to xmas gifts!
I’d use the cash for Xmas gifts.. or to cover some of the start-up costs for my business I’m planning :)
I would use it to buy my family Christmas presents.
Can I first just say WOW!! I love the idea of being able to set your budget and get new store suggestions. And I agree with having coupon codes that are actually active and current – that would be fabulous!! I also like that you can sort by Free Shipping as well since that is something I try not to pay for.
I love the concept of Chipmunk. A filter by zip code in order to see what stores are near you physically could be helpful.
I would use the $200 to buy Christmas gifts for my family & significant other.
I would use the money for the holidays. Thanks for the giveaway!
I like the budget feature and the filters (shipping to Alaska is always a problem!), but it is a bit cluttered, and I was confused with the categories below the budget feature at first. I chose a category and it seemed like it reloaded the same page, so I clicked ‘search’ at the bottom of the page, and suddenly I’m in a category I didn’t choose. A little confusing!
I would put the $200 either towards new tires or Christmas and birthday gifts. Thank you for the giveaway!
The budget feature was by far the best. It tailored the coupons to what you wanted to spend and even showed how much you would save based on that number.
I would use the money for Christmas shopping of course. Got a big family coming out and I want to bless them when I can.
This site is pretty cool! I like how you can set a budget and that you can choose deliver to store as an option, I’m personally not a huge fan of online shopping because I don’t like the hassle of shipping items back. I would like to see an easy way for deals in store too.
This money would definitely go towards paying for Christmas expenses, which will help me pay down my credit card all at the same time! :) I love killing two birds with one stone!
I like that you can put a price limit on what you are interested in spending so that way you only see coupons that apply!
I would spend it to go visit my family for the holidays!
Chippmunk Review: I like the “All Stores” option so I can peruse through to see what stores I could potentially find savings by using this site. Even though it has a good selection of merchants, it didn’t carry a couple of stores I shop at but hopefully that will change with time. Also, once I click on a store, I like the feature at the upper left hand corner, “competitor deals”, which allows one to see if a better offer exists elsewhere than the store you’re looking at. In addition to not carrying all the stores I shop at, the only other negative aspect of this store is that it doesn’t seem to offer great coupons/deals on popular sites like amazon and apple. But maybe it’s just timing and better deals are yet to arrive with time. A nice feature might be that you click to submit your email for your favorite stores and they email you when they have a new coupon available. I believe other sites do things like this so there’s definitely competition out there. But overall, it’s a great place to visit if you’re looking to browse for a great deal at a particular store or looking for a certain type of product.
What I’d do with $200: I’d use it to tackle 20% of my projected budget for christmas gifts this year. :)
I checked on one of my favorite clothing stores, and the only coupons they offered were the ones I get via their email subscription anyway. I guess if I’m looking for something at a place I don’t normally shop, Chippmunk would be a good resource.
I’d pad my emergency fund with $200!
This is a cool site! I like the category search and budget option.
I would use the $200 gift card for Spending money on my trip to Alaska.
I clicked over to the site. It seems like a great idea, pretty easy to use.
I would definitely get ahead on Christmas shopping if I won! Fingers crossed!
I checked out the site, and it looks very busy graphically. Too much going on and kind of cluttered. I prefer simple elegant websites.
If I win the $200 gift card I will spend it on baby items. My wife is due early 2014 and we’re a little shocked at how much stuff you have to purchase for a little one.
The budget slider was a little sticky on my browser… I’ll use the site, but probably “by store” not by category. I love coupons, so A+ ya’ll! I’m getting married this month and we’re attempting to do it without spending any money… but darned if I didn’t absolutely need new shoes. The $200 would help a lot ;)
I like the list the coupons right below search section. Easy to spot on and click.
I would use it to help holiday expenses, groceries, gifts…and more.
I’d spend the $200 on gifts for my wife/kids.
The feature of getting personalized coupons based on budget is an excellent idea, and it adds to the break down by category. I would probably add other things to make the search more personalized, like selecting for student, etc. The only thing i would try to change is the landing page. It seems very busy and that can definitely draw some people away as it might look like an scam site.
Site seems very visually “busy” – Pinterest stuff on the right, content in the middle, controls/other info/ads(?) on the left.
Those $200 would really help me with my groceries this and next month. It would be the best Thanks Giving thing that could happen.
The site looks pretty slick. Very much in the whole web 2.0 space (or what I imagine it to be). I like being able to sign up for specific store coupons because I only shop at a select few and wouldn’t want to have e to keep wading through the muck to get the ones that I want!
For the gift card, I’d probably spend the money on baby stuff (diapers) or groceries. Not too glamorous….
I really like all the filters that you can apply to find the merchant and coupon code you’re looking for! I actually think I’ve been to the site before and forgot about them…thanks for reminding me :)
We’re moving soon and the $200 would come in handy for all the expenses that pop up!
i like the “choose your budget” feature. that is something i’ve never seen before on other coupon sites.
a nice bonus like this would definitely come in handy for the holiday shopping for the kiddos (my nephews) and coworkers and of course, my husband.
I like the concept and the fact that it distinguishes itself from the other coupon websites. It’s optimized to make it much easier for the users to find what they’re looking for! Thanks for sharing and the giveaway!
The $200 would be used for a couple (non-expensive) Christmas gifts and utilize the remaining balance to perform small acts of kindness!
I like how the site lets you compare so much and tells you up front what you can save. I’ll probably end up using this a bit. As for what I’d spend $200 on, I’d definitely use it to get party supplies and throw a party at my new place!
I do wish that there were a search bar that stayed on each page as I navigate the site, but I like that it ranks the coupons so that I don’t have to do the math to find the best savings.
I’d spend it on Christmas presents. I’m going on a cruise tomorrow (for the boyfriend’s brother’s wedding) and my 2013 budget is totally blown. Santa is going to be a little cheap this year.
I like that they are committed to having *working* coupons and not wasting my time, and that there are flexible ways to search. I also love chipmunks so I automatically have a good feeling about them.
I’d spend the $200 on some items for my house for the holidays, or towards visiting my grandparents
#1—Seemed like a normal coupon site, until I read your portion about setting a budget. I really like that feature. I also used it to look for baby stuff (the wife is 4 months Preggo with our first!) and saw a lot of stores/sites that I haven’t seen on other coupon/deal sites.
#2— I would use it to buy baby stuff! J$, you have me a little worried after watching your Baby Cost Tracker…
The site seems cool, although I’m lazy and not sure if I’d really use it.
#2, I’d use the $200 for groceries, boooorrriiinnnnggggg.
Great concept, but the aesthetics of the site were a big downer. Kinda surprised! And I think small things like that make a big difference for shoppers (just ask the people who get paid to design the smell of high end hotels!) For instance, when I click on chocolate for a category, there are these huge horizontal pale blue buttons between every deal that interrupt an eye looking down a screen. And the logo of the company is so small in comparison I feel like I have to make a point to look for the logo for a deal. If each deal was a small square, translucent and prominently featured the logo (besides the percent off) it wouldn’t feel half so exhausting to peruse. 4 squares per row, or something like that. But great concept!
I thought it seemed confusing, with too much going on at the same time. I use other coupon sites and find them easier to read than this one. I can see how someone might use it but it was just too busy for me.
I’d use the money for Christmas presents.
BTW, I love the name of the site. Very cute.
I like how sleek and colorful the site looks.
What would I spend the money on? Debt payoff baby!
I find it weird when searching for a product that other products pop up. Example, searching for electronics, a deal for camera lenses pops up.
Not sure I would use the site, only because I could search for deals through google. I do, however, like when you search for a specific store, that it has a button to search competitor deals. Although, it only gave me the option to look at two stores the site thought was competition. It was missing the million of other stores / online stores like the one I was looking at.
I would actually use the $200 on me for once. I have no room for fun money, so it would be AWESOME to spend some on me finally.
I like the filter option which makes finding coupons a bit more convenient. The day’s best coupons is also a plus! The front page layout is a bit too busy for me but everything else is great!
I would definitely use this for holiday shopping if I won:) Thanks for the giveaway!
1) I love the competitor deals.
2) I am totally boring and would use the $200 on groceries. That’s pretty much all we’re spending money on these days because we’re on budget lockdown.
It’s an interesting site, but I’d probably never use it. Honestly, I just don’t buy much! THere is also a lot going on on every page.
I’d use the $200 for Christmas and cigars!
If I won the $200, I’d love to say I’d splurge on something fun, but in reality I’d probably spend it on something lame, like commuting costs. :(
I like the turquoise color. I would move the How It Works section and email sign up section closer to the top so the reader doesn’t have to look for them. Something about the middle section (2 rows) just seems congested.
I would use the $200 to get my site back working properly.
1) I love this idea, I’m always googling coupons or coupon codes but if it’s only for online shopping I won’t use it as much. Good to know if or when I do shop online.
2) I’d use the extra money for everyday expenses.
I really like this site. It’s attractive, clean, and organized (I can’t stand a chaotic website… stresses me out). I like that there are no coupon codes to use AND I don’t have to sign up for anything. I didn’t see anything I really wasn’t a fan of – except that the window that opens up for the website linked to the coupon doesn’t have all the bars at the top, but I’m sure that’s my set-up, not theirs. :) Can’t wait to dive deeper and purchase some Christmas goodies!
Wasn’t sure if I should do this in a separate post, so – better safe than sorry! :)
I would use the $200 winnin’s to pay off the last of a medical bill – leaving us back down to School Loan, Mortgage, and a dastardly car loan to pay off. Determined more than ever to get right with the budget!
If I won the $200, I’d put it towards my honeymoon.
The thing that I like about the site is that it’s really easy to find the best coupon depending on what I’m willing to spend.
I like the budget aspect of it a lot. I also like that you can search for budgets for various stores in one place. I like the idea of the best coupons of the day in the middle of the page, but I’m unimpressed with what’s featured today in that area. I kind of wonder if they are making ad money by having certain coupons listed there. I searched under Target, one of my favorite stores, and saw “coupons” that I was already aware of and that weren’t exactly helpful. Notifications of sales are only so helpful.
I want my daughter to experience the local Santa train and other fun events like that this holiday season, but we just can’t afford that extra expense right now (my husband was laid off at the end of June and we’re now both looking for work and have been). So it would be nice to be able to have the money to do those things and make this Christmas memorable (and not in a we-couldn’t-afford-any-presents kind of way).
1: The most important aspect of a coupon type site is the validity of the codes, etc. I can’t really vouch for this yet for this site. After that, navigation is pretty key, being able to find what you want and are looking for. In this category, it does quite well. Coupons are easy to find and easy to compare. I’ll definitely be using this site in the future. :)
2: If I won the gift card there are so many things that I would love to do that would be selfish, but instead of all that I have a fun idea: My wife and I could put in fun ideas of things that we could either do together or as a family with our daughter. Put all the ideas in a hat and draw one at random and do that thing. Sounds like fun, right?
I would use the gift card to start holiday shopping. Thanks for the giveaway.
Thanks for the giveaway. I like that I discovered new stores. I wish the site had cash back offers.
it’s a bit jumbled on the homepage, but like the “todays best coupons” section, maybe that could be more prominent
I would use them for xmas presents
We’ve had some big bills this year, so I’d use the $200 to buy Christmas presents for my four year old daughter.
I really like the layout!
I would use it for Christmas gifts this year!
I like the site. I like that there are a lot of store coupons to choose from. I also like that there are coupons from stores that I don’t normally shop at or get emails from.
I would use the money for Christmas gifts.
Nice site! After clicked searching by store, there is no way to do a new search instead of going back to the home page. Searching by department has that feature though.
I’d put the $200 toward my wedding.
Love the competitor stores – great to find out what might have a similar option or better bang for your buck!
I’d put the $200 towards holiday gifts for friends and family.
I like that the chippmunk site shows the daily coupons on the first page but overall I find the site very “busy” especially when using on a mobile device. There is lots of scrolling down.
I would use the $200 to buy pants for my growing teenager. Seems like every week I look at him and his pants are two inches too short.
I generally like the website and its features, but I found it to be a little cluttered. When I first opened it, it was overwhelming to figure out what to do.
I would use the money for Christmas gifts. We’re trying to save up for a house, so any little bit towards those “extras” that pop up at this time of year definitely helps!
I love user-friendly the mobile site is. It’s extremely easy to navigate.
I would use the money for Christmas gifts for my family.
I like this site. Anything that can help me cut costs for the things I need to buy for my family I love. Thanks for the great post!
Honestly, I don’t get the site. Its difficult to find relevant discounts, I would prefer an open term search box. I clicked on one for Amazon and the discount didn’t work. But the concept seems solid.
I would use the money for a weekend getaway.
