Great Clips for ~$15. Before I moved, it was a small mom and pop called Tyler’s for ~$7. I miss my cheap hair cuts.
With tip, I usually spend about $18, and I
actually go to Supercuts :)
I usually go to Saturdays and spend about $25 including tip… but that only happens a couple times a year. The husband and kids get theirs done by me at home costing nada!
I get my haircut at my friend Pamela’s house and in exchange I groom her dog so it doesn’t cost me anything! My husband usually goes to Superclips or one of those chains on his way home from work.. I think it costs him $12.
It costs me 25.00 for a haircut.
My husband gets it cut at sport clips, for $10.00-12.00
My sons get their haircuts at Sports Clips for about $14 each.
I usually pay $20 for a hair cut including tip and go to whatever chain is most convenient at the time.
I get my hair cut across the street from my house at a beauty school. I think it costs me maybe $10? And that’s including a $3 or $4 tip. My husband goes to supercuts though, and I think it normally costs him around $15.
I go to Supercuts, too, and usually get my hair cut and eyebrows waxed at the same time, which ends up costing me about $25 including tip, as long as I remember to bring a coupon from the newspaper.
I get my haircut at Beauty Bar $35 including tip; I try to hold out for every 8 weeks.
My little man gets his haircut by yours truly for free…right now he is sporting the fohawk; easy to do and the ladies love it.
I always did trade for my hair color but the hair cuts always came out bad so I hit up Hair Cuttery or Super Cuts & paid $16+tip. It takes about 5 minutes to cut my hair & they always rock it compared to the swanky salons.
I cut my own hair for free 99!
Either Great Clips or Super cuts for around $15. You won’t find a better price to value ratio.
I get my hair cut at sports clips for $18. Sounds like all of the other sports clips are cheaper…..
I get my haircut at the aptly named “11 Barbers” in Lynbrook. It costs $8, plus the $2 Tip.
For $11 at the Barber Shop
Hair It Is…costs about about $20 tip included.
However, I used to go to a great barber shop that was $27 tip included for a cut, 15 min. shoulder massage, hot towel neck shave, and eyebrows cleaned up! I just can’t fit them into my schedule anymore…
Local salon, $20+tip
Last haircut was 2 months ago. I went to the beauty school and paid $12. Not too bad.
I get my hair cut at Zoe’s salon. She cuts my hair, eyebrows, and trims my beard for $24.00. We also have some good conversation about whatever book we are currently reading.
I do both Supercuts and a home based solution. SC is about $15 here, so I only go once in a while to get spruced up. Haha!
I get my hair cut wherever I can get in for an appointment on the day I decide I need one. :-) (It’s pretty sporadic) However, I have 3 little girls who go for regular haircuts – ALWAYS at Supercuts. $20.00 a cut x 3 x 3.5 times a year….
I don’t get my hair cut very often, I like long hair, but I do have my sister regularly trim it to keep it from getting split ends. But my husband regularly goes for a haircut at a local barber shop and pays around $10 per haircut plus tip.
I get my haircut at Supercuts! $15.99, usually before a $1 off coupon.
Wife does it also…but there are times I go to cost cutters for $15 so I would rather have the wife cut.
I usually go to Great Clips and spend about $16-17.
I get my haircut at Leo’s Barbershop for $12 but he’s retiring this summer
I don’t cut my hair, but Ryan gets his cut at either Super Cuts or the local barber “Teds on Cooper”
Great Clips and spend around $14-$16
I get my hair cut at the local Supercuts in Jacksonville. Usually ends up being about $18-$20 with tip.
I go to a salon and spend ~$40. The hubs goes to Great Clips and I think it is ~$12 with a coupon.
$50 + tip. PLUS I moved recently so now to go back to my girl I drive 5 hours. I’m a stylist too, so I’be been doing dome upkeep myself.
My hair is too edgy to just let anyone hack on it.
I pay waaaay too much – used to be $60 plus tip at a salon near my work, but my girl got promoted and is now $85. I started going there on the recommendation of a co-worker, but it has gotten pricey!
Maria’s $40 + tip.
I tried a bunch of places
Great clips when I have coupons – $11-12
bishop – come with free beer… $25
I even tried a student barber for $5. The gal said “this is my first time cutting a guy’s hair.” And I thought OHHH S***…, but I made a mistake of sitting down… :(
Now I stick with Great clips… I can’t get a great hair cut even at the expensive places…
Usually around $40 at my aunt’s salon. *Fingers crossed*
Two thirds of the year it costs me $17 at a local barber shop. The summer months cost me nothing as my wife chops it down to 1/2 inch all round.
Once or twice a year, a salon at $60. bucks or so. Inbetween, supercuts or topcuts – $25.
I get my hair cut at a barber shop I saw when I was going to the library (it’s next door). Since there were two women working there, I went in. The window displayed $7 haircuts & I pay $12 because I get a styled cut (woman here….no buzz cut for me please). She’s great & listens to what I ask for.
I spend about $20 and go to Sport Clips. The warm towel on the face is wonderful.
I go to Hair Cuttery about every 2 weeks or so and w/ tip and cut it comes out to about 20 bones. or $16.oo just for the cut….. But the I’ve been useing the same woman now for yrs and she is outstanding, I’d have to follow her to another shop if she left this one or wait till I go bald what ever comes first :-)
My fave hair person moved to Seattle, and she could do an awesome cut. I’ve either cut it myself or paid way too mcuh to have someone else cut it, just wherever there’s a groupon!
I usually get my hair cut at aveda salons, and its usually around $50
I go to Great Clips and spend $12 plus tip. Never been to Supercute, very interested to though.
Sports Clips 16 with tip. Like getting the hair wash AFTER to get all that hair out.
I get my hair cut about every 8 weeks (saving some money that way!) at a professional salon and it cost about $40. I take my 5-year old son to one of the local places and it costs about $15.
I go to Supercuts too and pay about $18 with tip.
I usually go to Great Clips and it’s ~$15.
I get my hair cut at Floyd’s on Santa Monica Blvd. in West Los Angeles. It costs $21 dollars, plus a tip. Those people know what they’re doing!
I don’t remember when the last time I got mine cut but when I do I go cheap, usually less than $25.
When I lived in Chicago I loved my sylista at supercuts (Jackie). Now that i’ve moved to DC I’ve been going to great clips where it costs $17.
I usually go to Cost Cutters and spend about $15.00
I go to a local salon called “Barb’s”, she knows how to handle my curls. I pay $16.
I go to Jeffrey Michael’s and it costs about $30 after tip
I go to a salon in my hometown and pay $40 for a cut and style.
Actually, Super cuts!
My fiance went 2 days ago because he wants hair for the wedding so I couldn’t buz it for him with the clippers ($20 with tip)… but I really need to get there and get mine trimmed… Normally it costs me $25 so that would be a nice card to have.
I usually get my hair cut at the SuperCuts around the corner from me for about $14. This would be great!
I usually go to Great Clips and it costs around $17 with tip. I have been known to frequent Supercuts if Great Clips is too busy the day I feel my hair is unbearable any longer! Thanks for the chance.
I started going where my husband does… its a something cuts, although I can’t recall off the top of my head. With tip – I spend about $20. Much better than the $150 plus I was paying before. Whew!
I go to Great Clips and pay about $16 including the tip.
Cost Cutters or Great Clips, whichever one I find first. Costs between 13.95 and 15, depending on deals. Once I got charged only $4.95 the cost of a beard trim because it didn’t take her very long. It would be a lot cheaper if I could get an even cut by myself…
I get my hair cut at either Great Clips or Sports Cuts, depending on if there is a sale at one or the other. I pay $15 max (plus tip), and I get my hair cut 2-3 times per year.
On a side note, I just finished giving my son his first ‘hawk of summer. My hands are still vibrating from the clippers!
Welp, the last time I got my hair cut I was at some place in Long Beach (a salon- $50)…but the time before that I actually did get my hair at Super Cuts ($20!)
Because DS had a super issue with cutting his hair, it was a nightmare. We use to take him to JustKidsCuts; they did a great job with children on the spectrum, but it cost $22! Now the woman who threads my eyebrows does it for $17, not including tip. I have brought him to supercuts a time or two as well. I keep my hair long, so I don’t cut it.
Thanks J money! How did you know that the kids and I needed a hair it?
Last 2 times I cut my hair I did it myself. Bangs are easy, and since I have big wavy hair you can’t really tell if it’s not straight if I just snip away at the ends. -Thats free!!
But if I’m going for a style I’ll go to Online Hair Design and it’s usually about $30
I get my hair cut at Juut Salon (used to be called Aveda) in MN. The cut costs me $50 (and my stylist is one of the medium-priced ones there!). However, I only get my hair cut about 3 times a year, and my stylist does a pretty good job. I’ve tried convincing my husband to cut my hair, but he refuses to do it because he’s afraid he’ll screw up and I’ll have a fit, which I wouldn’t. I always cut his hair, so we save money there.
I go to Super Cuts and my haircut with tip is just under $22. I cut my boyfriend’s hair (with clippers, No. 1 guard), which is free! (and fun.)
I go to the “All American Barber Shop” just a ten minute walk from my house, and they apply the clippers to my head for just $10!
I get my hair cut at Hair Cuttery (aren’t they a close rival to Supercuts?). I usually decide on the spur of the moment or when I’m driving by that I’ll go get a cut – no blow drying to save on $$. Typically it’s when my hair, which is just past shoulder length, is looking scrappy. The cost is $15 + tip, which is pretty good considering I live in South Florida. Results are varied though, so I know, that I might need to do a little bit of minor work at home afterwards!
Young’s Hair Salon, $16 for a woman’s cut. So cheap especially in LA!
Supercuts! $18 with $3 tip = $21
I was going to a salon and it cost about $30 for a haircut, shampoo, and style. It’s a bit more than I like to pay but you get a scalp massage, plus they give you a drink (coffee, tea, water, pop, etc.) so it’s worth it.
Ok, looks like I’m the only reader who spends a little more money on my hair! I go to a salon in my hometown, which is about an hour drive from where I live. my parents still live there, so i get to see them too. and I spend $80 on a cut and color. sometimes it might be a little more depending on how much hair she cuts. I have been going to the same hairdresser since i was 2 (first haircut, seriously). I have friends who easily spend $250+ on their hair, so i figured $80 was pretty good. I only get my hair cut two or three times per year. to me, its worth it.
p.s. I cut my husband’s hair, so that balances out the cost, right?
I get min at Jcpenny salon- costs about 16 dollars!
Normally $40 ever six months. Have not cut hair in forever. Just broke up with my bf so ..yep…it is that time again to CUT ALL THE HAIR OFF! Isn’t that what us ladies do sometimes. So I would totally love a free hair cut! ;)
Supecuts. 13$ for the hair. $6 for the beard and I usually throw 2$ or 3$ for a tip. Unless they dont charge me for the beard then they get 20$ flat.
Elements Salon for $60(?). I usually get a cut and highlights every 3 months, so I’m not sure what the cut alone would cost. I’m entering this giveaway for my husband though, who spends about $25 w/ tip at Supercuts (we live in an extremely HCOL city).
@Gretchen – $80 for cut AND color is pretty cheap at a salon, so you’re definitely not spending a ton IMO.
These are fun to read :) Giveaway ends tonight!! Then 4 of you will win!!!
I’ve been going to Supercuts for years!
Cost me $14.95 plus tip!
I get my hair cut at Beehive Salon. I always get it colored too, so I don’t know how much just a haircut costs – I think around $40. My husband is the sexy budget follower in our family and he’s Supercuts all the way! It’s right around the corner from our house.
Thanks for participating everyone! Congrats to our 4 winners!! (Look for an email from me soon)

I get my hair cut at SuperCuts because I ALWAYS look super when I come out :-)
