Ack! I should be!
I’ve never poked around there myself (I use feedly), but I get a lot of traffic from bloglovin’ so I know people are reading me there :) Maybe try again? or putting in budgetsaresexy.com instead of www. budgetsaresexy.com or something?
You popped up in this morning’s newsfeed on FB.
Love it! Usually don’t have much success with FB :)

i found you a few months back, i was googling around after listening to dave ramsey a bit for a good budget template to use, and i came across a sexy budget template. ive been reading since, and never subscribed til now. im pretty good with money already, but can always learn more. and we’re same age more or less, have two new kids more or less, and i really enjoy the unique and laid back atmosphere here.
Appreciate that man, means a lot. I do my best to make this stuff fun and relaxing, so I’m glad it comes off that way. And if you’re anything like me, it’s always good to hear the same things just in different ways to keep us on top and reminded of what’s important! :)

I listened to one of PatFlynn’s podcasts where a fellow personal financeblogger mentioned your name
Well that’s pretty cool! Pat Flynn is a beast too – great (and smart) guy.
I was browsing through Wise Bread’s recommendation list for P.F. blogs and liked your writing style. I just started up a blog to encourage people to live on a budget and get out of debt. I definitely like having ‘fun’ in personal finance and think that we could be friends.
Rock on! Going now to check it out – congrats on getting it out the door, that’s the hardest part :)
I found you on Pinterest. Thanks so much for this site ;)
Thanks so much for being here!
I was able to find you by googling you
Well thanks for googling me :)
My wife and I was looking into getting on a Budget due to her deciding to leave the work force to watch our 5 month old. Great website!
Congrats on the kid! We now have two since starting this blog (2 and 1/2 and 9 mos) and those little guys sure do like to empty our wallets ;) Good thing they’re so cute though.
Im 33 and live with my mom can she claim me on her taxes if I dont work but live with her
Oh man, I have nooo idea sorry. I don’t dare touch tax stuff as it’s not my expertise :( I bet if you googled around a little you’d find an answer though? Or see if any of your friends use an accountant they can intro you to and then you can ask them?
This site is AWESOME!!! I was searching for online estate sales and your link came back in the results.
Rock on! And to think I’ve only blogged about that like once or twice, haha… Hopefully you enjoy straight up money talk too! :)
I work at a university in the upper Midwest building a financial literacy program. I’ve known about the blog for a long time but subscribed to stay current. Your no-nonsense take on money is something that can resonate with students. Thanks!
Wonderful! Love it! I wish I had 1/100th of the knowledge I do now back when I was a student, so if I can help that generation even just a little I’d feel like my job’s being done! Thanks so much for letting me know – made my night.
Peter Anderson at Bible Money Matters
Great guy :)
I found you on buzzfeed
Cool, thanks for letting me know!
I saw that you guys are listed as one of the top money blogs on Kiplinger.com and wanted to check you out. I loved the enthusiasm I read from the get go. I’m a twentysomething budding financial coach with a brand new money blog trying to absorb as much savvyness and finesse from my blogging predecessors as possible.
Glad to meet you! We can always use more financial coaches out there – people still aren’t paying attention to their money!!
(And nice blog name btw :))
I did a search on cost of living trying to find ideas on how much I should be spending and just looking for ideas really and your site came up in the search (Google) The website looks both interesting and helpful – God knows I need help in learning how to budget my money and any ideas that I can find to help me be more thrifty and in my effort to make ends meet. I was happy to have stumbled upon this site. Thanks!!!
We’re glad to have you here :) AND LOVING YOUR SITE!!! haha… that is so damn cool, and simple. Makes me happy :)

A few months back my wife sent me a link to your site. I saved it to my favorites and kept bouncing over reading different posts then I realized, “ummm I should just register… Duh…”
Great site and posts, I love the enthusiasm too.
You have a smart wife! :) Thanks so much!!
Found your blog through Mark and Lauren G. They always speak very highly of you.
They are so freakin’ cute together… esp now that they’re doing biz together too! :)
Hey J,
Not sure how I found the site, but probably through a google search about quitting a lame job (which I have) and earning money through a blog (which I have but don’t earn anything from). Or it could have been via the internet rabbit-hole of reading a tweet with a link by someone like Chris Guillebeau or Mr Money Moustache that linked to a recent article about early retirement.
From there I got suckered in to reading various posts etc ;)
Hah – love it bro.
And welcome to the dark side! :)
I found about this site because I was doing research on Digit. I enjoyed your review and decide to look away a bit more.
Very cool! Digit’s my new favorite company out there so cool to see it’s bringing people to my site too! :)
I asked a friend to do some digging on Digit and tell me what he thought. He sent me a to you:0)
Smart friend! ;)
Found you reading a Forbes article, great site you have, great information!
Thanks
Thanks Lisa Ann!

Awesome! Hopefully I can help get you more of that extra left over money you need/want :)
I was actually searching up webs online that pay people to write. And I came across here :)

Hello,
Found you via a link from Flannel Guy ROI. Looking forward to reading your blog!
Steve
Awesome! I like that site :)
Frugaling.org has a weekly reads list called “Frugal articles of the Week” and your article “How in God’s Name do you spend so little on food?” was one of the five. Funny! From there I searched your site finding it both entertaining and enlightening (a great combination) and decided to sign up. :)
Cool! Thanks for doing so :) I’ll have to owe Frugaling a beer for that.
Was gathering inspiration for my next blog post and found your site here: http://www.modestmoney.com/top-finance-blogs/ at number 5. Love your work and look forward to reading more from you.

I’ve been a MMM and MadFientist reader for a little while, but came across your site thru a Mint.com re-post. Budgets ARE sexy.
Great sites! Friends with both those $$$ bad asses.
I found your site from an article at Republic Wireless, I clicked through and found budgetsaresexy.com, very relevant for me, my Wife and I are Financial Peace grads. I wish more people had a firm understanding of debt and saving, the world would be a much better place and we would elect better leaders (In places where we have the choice to vote).
I don’t know about the politics thing, but I do agree people would be much better off with understanding how $$ works in their lives :) Freedom is much sweeter than things!
I found you on the Republic Wireless newsletter. Always looking for more ways to keep more money in my pocket and the bank than anywhere else. I like some of the challenges I read about on one of your blogs. Will have to try one or two.
Carol
I hope you do!
Be sure to report back so I can learn from your journey too :)
I came across your site from the republic wireless, PWK article that shares some of your thoughts. Go Republic Wireless !
I found your site through a Republic Wireless email. What a great company they are! Also, I’m a big fan of MMM, JCollins, FS and MF. I aspire to the level you and them have reached with FI!
Discovering this way of thinking and living with money has really brought me a great deal of peace of mind and focus.
Yeah those guys are no joke!
I’m not nearly as close to any of them as I still have to work for a living, but I do like to think I’m in a way retired already since my “work” doesn’t feel as such with blogging :)
But we’ll both be working on growing our net worths!
From an email from Republic Wireless. I have a new goal to move our family to being debt free first, then eventually being financially independent.
Damn good goal to have :)
Also found you from Republic Wireless
Republic Wireless

I’ve heard of you through Ramit Sethi but only recently checked your blog after reading Go Curry Cracker. Love your enthusiasm and challenges for living on less and growing your net worth!
hey thanks! Big fan of Ramit’s too – in fact, his book is my all-time favorite to recommend :) Go Curry Cracker is a bad ass as well.
Found you while searching for digit reviews. I’m a YNAB’er also.
Rock on – big fan of both!
I went from the Penny Hoarder, then to The Curry Cracker, where they listed the link in one of their articles.
sweetness, thx for being here!
Money Talks News! AWESOME!!
YAY!!!!
I have been on the hustle all my life. Miami is an expensive place where I was born and raised. As a minor leaguer pursuing his dream, that type of money doesn’t let one to enjoy life and move on to bigger and better things until you actually make it. I recently became a realtor this past off season and my girlfriend knows how much I like to work hard and make money so she came upon this site recently and told me about it to try and put some off time to productive use. I love it, very informative and lots of great ideas and guidance. I can only continue to hone on my talents and skills to make that “MONEY”!!!
You have a smart girlfriend! :) And super fascinating that you’re a baller – both literally, and figuratively. I hope you get some good ideas here and keep making that money indeed! And then when you get rich and famous on the field you can pay me back for the tips ;)
Hustle nation, baby.
I found you through a link in an online program …Money-Making Travel Blogs at Great Escape Publishing. Doing my homework??? and getting the “feel” of blogging. Lucky for me, I’m learning from your blogs.
So cool! I’ve heard about that program before – I think it’s run by my bud Paula Pant?
Either way – glad you’re hear and hope you have some fun along your journey :)
I came across you by thinking budgets are boring, however, my retirement needs a serious boost. I wanted something fun and keeps my interest
Rock on – you’re in a good place for that! We like to have fun here! :)
I found you in a Kiplinger article. Top personal finance blogs.
WOO!
Hi Man,
I have read through a few of your posts and thoroughly enjoy them. I think you are very practical and are a good financial example.
My girlfriend introduced me to your site when she shared an article on you and your rise in the blogging scene by detailing your net worth development. I think it was on Business Insider. Very cool work man, keep it up!
Hey thanks! You have a kick-ass girlfriend :)
I found out about you today from an article in Forbes. Glad I did!
I’m glad you did too :)

Republic Wireless just blasted out your awesomeness! :) Great site, I’m excited to learn how to better leverage the dollars!
Great way to think of it – leverage!
Yup! Been using republic for years! Got their podcast of your interview. Can’t wait to hear it!
I have been really interested in personal finance for a few months now and I found you through an article I found on pinterest on too 5 personal finance blogs. I don’t live in north America so I find it difficult to find specific tips that would help me but I do like to learn the concepts. I hoping I won’t be disappointed :) excited to explore the knowledge you have to share !
Thanks for being here! Fortunately the main concepts of $$ remains the same all over the world: Spend less than you earn and save the rest :) As long as you do that you’ll be fine!
Found you through Surviving and Thriving.
Awesome – big fan of Donna’s.
Republic Wireless blast email featured you. I dig what you are doing and look forward to hearing more.
Rock on – thx for giving my blog a shot!
I found you through a YouTube video on building your net worth. Loving the blog.
Hah – really??
I didn’t know there was a youtube video out there on growing net worth, nor with myself in it or mentioned! Very cool though to say the least :)
I came across this site on Pinterest. Really like the feel and tone of your blog so decided to subscribe!
Thanks Fiona! I love the feel and tone of your name :)
Found yah by way of daily finance .com ! after a nuclear divorce and not watching the money being spent and only focusing on the income side I read that in order to get smart with money yah need to read something about money everyday to achieve goals. So here i can read many things and hopefully build my own Rome as a single guy.
Yessir – paying attention daily will definitely grow that $$$! Keep at it, homeboy.
I was reading Oprah ‘s Dream Big (a birthday present I received this year on my 25th birthday) (lol)while conversating I mentioned Suze Orman as my mentor, when my girlfriend (another mom from my 11 year old daughters’ dance school) said you have to subscribe to this blog… A wealth of great info…Stacey sent me the link, and here I am….CAN’T WAIT $$$
Always searching for great financial info….$$$… So let the $$$ flow…
Love that! Never a bad thing when your name is brought up amongst Oprah and Suze Orman, haha…. thanks so much for giving my site a shot :) Hope it helps!
I saw comment from you in DailyWorth. Loved the name of your site.

I found you by a budget template i was downloading

I came a crossed your site while doing some research on Acorn. Trying to decide if I should sign up for it. Your site was very appealing to me so I signed up. Thanks for having me.

I found you through Rockstar Finance’s blog about your Rewards Coaching program. Would love to join but am afraid that it won’t work for me as my credit score isn’t good enough.
Yikes, sorry to hear! Probably best to get all that stuff in order first before applying for new cards and all anyways :) Finances gotta come first!
I found you in Clark Howard’s site.
Cool!
Found you on a Pinterest Pin
So glad I found this website.
Thanks! So glad you’re here :)
Found you when I did a google search about pros/cons of paying off a mortgage early. I read several discussions, very interesting comments. Not sure yet if this is for us though as much of the advice/suggestions/comments are coming from/geared towards a younger crowd who have 30 or more years left until retirement, unlike us older folks who are in our 50’s, LOL
Hey – financial management doesn’t discriminate! :) It’s all about staying motivated and rockin’ that $$$ no matter what position/age/locale you’re at. And hopefully you have fun while you’re at it.
I think I stumbled across your blog when I googled information about being an uber driver. Been hooked ever since! Thanks!
Cool! Let me know if you end up trying it out and if it makes you rich ;)
Love your Blog!!! I found you through your name and blog being mentioned on Radical Personal Finance Podcast. Although, I can’t remember who it was that mentioned your website. Whoever it was, said all nice things….hence, me being here!! I’m an RN, so no financial background but I definitely don’t want to be doing my job at 60!!! Not that I don’t love what I do, but no!!! I’m trying to learn all I can to eventually make my money work for me!!
Woohoo! Welcome aboard – I owe that random person who mentioned me a beer :) Maybe they’ll come collecting and we’ll find out who it is? Haha…
Thanks for being here!
I found your website while looking for Acorns Reviews in Google and I loved that it had screenshots and stories from actual experiences as opposed to ‘This app seems like a great idea.’
Hah – that’s exactly why I do them :) And why I usually only promote apps/services/tools I use myself. If I don’t like or “get” them, I just don’t write about them. Let me know if you end up using Acorns and what you think!
found you through a simple google search. :)
fine by me! :)
I found you through Blonde on a Budget
rock on – Cait’s one of my favorite people!
Can’t budget wisely off my student living allowance…i tend to waste money each and every month, and looked for sites that can gimme dat wisdom…dats hw i came accross this wonderful site
Rock on… Read through some of the older posts here and see if any resonate well with you. At the end of the day you REALLY have to want something to make the changes towards it, and once you do it’s all about just tweaking stuff here and there. It’s not easy, but it’s def. do-able. And worth it :) So keep reading about money online! You’ll find the stuff that clicks!
I found you while doing some research on the Acorns app. On my second career after going back to school and accumulating a ton of debt. Don’t make as much money as I used to (but I’m MUCH happier) so always looking for ways to cut expenses/raise income. Looking forward to reading your blog!
Sounds like you’ve gotten it figured out this second time around :) Happiness is what it comes down to!
My boss sent out an update with a link to your blog on paying off your student loans: wow! So inspirational!
You have a bad ass boss! :)
I found you on Pinterest.
Thanks for being here :)
Frugaling mentioned your blog.
I’ll have to owe Frugaling a beer for that :)
An employee of mine suggested your website after I was talking to him about how I’m not good at managing my money and the stress it causes my family. He said you could help.
Rock on! Smart employee ;) Hope it indeed helps here! Check out some of the archive material to see if anything motivates you.
I googled for info on getting discounts from signing up with paribus and saw your article raving about it.
Cool cool… hope you enjoy the other articles that pop out over time :)
Frugaling.com email
Hi J. Money! I’ve been reading for a few months now, but I originally found you through the Republic Wireless guest post. I’ve been around the block on a lot of PF blogs, but yours is the one I keep coming back to – I started tracking my net worth a couple months ago thanks to you! Keep the great material coming!
LOVE TO HEAR THAT!!
And let me guess – your net worth has since increased since started tracking? :)
Hola, J. Money, I found your blog through the Forbes article…guy, you are getting a ton of mileage out of that! :-) Last year, my husband and I (mid-50s) decided that retirement wasn’t going to be when the government said it was, but when WE decided. We sold our house and got rid of two 18-year-old Subarus (loved those cars) along with tons of stuff, and moved to Panama with 10 suitcases. We are realizing our dream of simplicity, bilingualism, healthy living and exploring the world. We have zero debt and next-to-no-stress. I am building my freelance writing website/blog and my husband is building Android apps. Thanks to your site and others like it, we will be able to maximize our financial resources to fund the life we want! Best regards, Eve
BOOM! Look at that! Amazing what can happen when you totally challenge your life and all the “rules.” So so impressed with y’all. Thanks so much for taking the time to let me know and for reading the blog! Always glad to have like-minded people in our community here :)
Googled reviews of Digit and came across your site. Great content; thanks! :)
Cool – big fan of Digit!
I came across your site by researching for my motif.com stock purchases. I am 55 and newly divorced on a shoestring budget. I have only $3,000 to invest, but need a way to increase monthly and long term income. I am trying to understand what dividends will do for me. It seems like such a minimal amount I would gain at investment of $250 a motif. I have four successful motifs purchased for now with high risk tech and bio tech prominent. These are so far doing well. My problem is I don’t know how to make my return work for me (sell when high?). I also am not sure how owning .05 percent of a stock as part of a greater motif will help me earn dividends. If I design one with about 25 percent dividend earning, what kind of dividends can I earn? Plus, most of the dividend stocks seem woeful in the growth area. I am on a five year time line for when my small amount of alimony gets cut off. Any help or discussion would be appreciated! I also have about 80 peer-to-peer loans on Prosper and Lending Club, but I am not sure when I should sell these….
Oh man, the secret everyone wishes they had, eh? I’m not versed well enough in dividend funds to be able to help you, but I would def. continue looking at blogs – particularly those who specialize in dividends or investing (my favorite is DividendMantra.com) but it’s a hard bet no matter where you put your money if your’e going to cash out in 5 years. The trick is keeping it in for as long as possible for exponential growth! But I know we’re all in different situations, so you do your best with what you’ve got. I wish you nothing but luck :)
Found you on Ms. Frugalwoods.
Great site :)
Looking for reviews of Digit before I decide to join.
Rock on!
They’re about to announce a MAJOR update tomorrow – keep your eyes open :)
Simple Life Habits Podcast–Jonathan Milligan
Fun! Hadn’t heard of before but will go over now and check out… Love the name/concept!
I am a mobile DJ “side hustle” and I am looking to add things to make this my FULL TIME HUSTLE! And I found you through looking up photo booths information and saw the photo booth side hustle blog and BOOOOMM! Here I is! LOL! Love the site! I’m ready to get this money!!
Yes! There you go! Perfect mash up :)
And if you ever want to share what it’s like to be a DJ and pros/cons/how much you make etc, perhaps we’ll feature you in our Side Hustle Series! Keep hustling man!
. keep up the good work
Thx dude! V. nice to meet you.
I found your web site via a Simple Dollar post. Thank you for creating the early retirement spreadsheet. Your idea to create that spreadsheet transformed our life for the better. We plugged in our numbers and realized we are financially independent. We both were stunned that the saving and the hard work paid off after 16 years. Thank you!!
Holy smokes! CONGRATS!!! That is huge!!
Much better results than when *I* plugged in my own numbers, haha…
Way to go!! Just check out with other calculators and spreadsheets too to double check :) Don’t want you quit your day jobs or anything in case I had a typo in there – hah!
This totally made my day.
Found you on Pintrest
Hey J. I found your article,”How Blogger J. Money Socked away $400,000″ in Forbes, when I googled personal finance. I have a background in personal finance and I’m trying to find my voice through blogging (still really new). Your journey has inspired me. Thank you so much!
-Rich
Rock on! Congrats on launching the blog – I hope you really enjoy it as it not only opens up a world of opportunities, but also improves your finances like crazy! Especially if you put it all out in the open like some of us do! :)
I’ve been reading on and off for a few years now but apparently never gave you my email :). I think I found the site by randomly googling best personal finance blogs.
Well thank for passing it over, haha… Easier to read and be lazy :)
My best buddy sent me the Ben Franklin piece.
Nice! I’m going on week #3 of 5 am wake-ups now and it completely changed my work day!
Tell your best buddy he’s now my best buddy for the day ;)
I found out about your site through a fellow blogger “Kesh Don’t Lye” who said she loves your site for financial advice. I have to agree with her. I’ve only been here a few minutes and I’m already hooked!
Rock on! No idea who that is but I’m loving her (his?) style :) Going to google now, as well as check out your blog! Killer idea for a name – matches your own beautiful one :)
I discovered your site through a guy named J. Money. You have a cool and awesome website by the way :)
Thank you!!
I found you by just surfing google looking for a good finance blog I have been reading you
J money for months and I love it, you are one of my favorite bloggers and I love all the links to other great sites I read 15 or more different blogs but yours is always my top one.
Awww, well thank you kindly Kiel. Makes me want to keep continuing with it! Thanks for taking the time to let me know :)
I found you on Pinterest!! It’s great to have so many new ideas and options to help improve my financial situation.
Cool! Hope they motivate you!
I found you via a circuitous trip through a Pinterest post. Coolio!!!
circuitous – hah! great word :)
I found you on google
I found you surfing the web for strategies to consolidate my debt. I dont fit any one mold of a person who gets a steady paycheck, I own my own business, i am a single mother of 4, I work at a restaurant at night to pay for school, home, car, etc. The kicker, my store is in a resort town and in a few weeks it will be BONE DRY with sales, Im behind at least 30% and Im scared to death of the bills i have. How can a budget help me when my $$$ are not a paycheck every week??? Please guide me! Im scared to death!
Yikes – sorry to hear Lili! So good of you to go online looking for ideas/help though! you’re right in that budgeting can only help so far. if you don’t have the $$ to pay the bills it’s not going to save you :( have you looked into/thought about online gigs? like freelance writing or other stuff you can do online? A great blog to read is SmartPassiveIncome.com. It’s more about building/launching stuff, but you can get a good idea of the potential out there. Right now you def. have to concentrate on the $$$$ coming in for sure :(
I found an article of yours on Pinterest (which I’m presently addicted to) and I’ve been wanting to save more, spend less and build wealth for awhile! I’ve had some success, but I think I’m in the right place to build wealth now! I saw your series with Lil VEE, what are your thoughts on the Capital One 360 accounts? I’ve read good things about them, but is there a better way to go?
I think they’re great :) I use USAA but only because I have all my other accounts with them and like having everything in one spot. An up and coming bank to look into is Simple.com. Not sure about the multiple savings route, but they’re definitely attracting a cult following. Thanks for signing up!
I’ve been following your blog for a while and finally signed up for the email updates.
Awesome – thx for reading for so long :)
I met you on YNAB’s newsletter web page.

Met you at FinCon 2015!
you sure did! :)
Found out about you thru an article in The Penny Hoarder. It was about learning about voice over acting.
For years, people have been telling me that I have a naturally ‘good’ sounding voice for that kind of thing. I never thought to take them seriously, or even how to go about it. Well, I’m at least going to find out about it.
Besides, that, looks like you have a wealth of other money saving/making ideas!! Glad I found you!
Yes!! GO FOR IT!! Never know where it can lead, just like with Carrie :)
Hell, even if you suck at it at first it can lead to somewhere… I started this blog 7 years ago without knowing a thing (and writing horribly) and here I am doing it full-time for a living now :) So you never know! gotta ride the passions and see what happens.
I’m looking for alternatives to traditional employment at 56 … I think you have great ideas here!
Love that you’re looking outside the box! Let me know if you come across something that works for you – would love to hear about it :)
Hi. I found you in an article from Business Insider “11 websites to bookmark if you want to get rich”. Yes! I want to get it!!
Welcome aboard, good sir.
hi i have found your article by looking money investments…
Hey J Money! I was on a business call and someone mentioned the compounding penny example so I type it in google saw your title and decided to read your blog! Glad I did!
Thanks J Money!
Well that’s pretty fun/random!
Looks like that article finally paid off ;)
Well… since you ask, you shall receive…. My own unique and personal answer to how I found this website (in short) is I asked God to show me wisdom about finances, I came across the Afford Anything blog, and then she mentioned yours. Lots to learn in this life… Love, and faith, and how those look in everyday life – oh, my! A wise man said, “We master money, money doesn’t master us.”
Amen, sister. Welcome to our beautiful community :)
I came across your blog accidentally . I was trying to find out if I am using all of my internet data streaming movies/ tv through Amazon Prime. Also trying to find a new ISP because my internet sucks. Just out of reach of cable. Stuck with Direct TV/ATT until somebody else decides to get into the business. Would like to be rid of them all but unfortunately I too need some entertainment on occasion. I am not very computer/electronic savvy so I am struggling with the whole mess of things. Your blog was informative and helpful. I thought I was the only one having these issues. I have major trust issues when it comes to purchasing products.
Well I hope you find some better internet! And in the meantime some good $$$ tips to save as well :)
I found your site by reading a blog post on The Penny Hoarder where you were giving tips about becoming a Brand Ambassador…..
I found you in pennyhoarder.com

HAH! love it.
I found you while googling and looking for ways to make a little extra money on the side and researching working for Uber (which I currently am). But now that I’ve found your awesome site I’ve found plenty more ways to make extra moolah! Thank you for the awesome blog and info!
Yes! Try them out and let me know how they go – we have some great ones on the list :)
I found you on pinterest. I am working on helping my niece get out of debt. She came for a visit and I found out she is drowning in cc debt at 28 yrs old. Um…no. She wanted to file for bankruptcy. Um…NO. Some people come to bankruptcy for very legitimate reasons, but she isn’t one of them. Poor habits, unconscious spending, lack of a plan. We correspond monthly with “homework”, but now she is staying the course until her debt is payed off, then onto investing. I mostly throw out pins to keep her motivated. She has been a very apt student and is burning through her debt. Very proud? Um…YES! But as a bonus, it keeps me on my toes and more motivated.
BEST THING I’VE HEARD ALL DAY!!! So lucky she has you in her life, wow… Good for you for staying on her and being a great financial mentor :) We need more of you out there spreading the good word!
I found you on Pinterest. I love talking about money so this blog seems pretty cool. Can’t wait to see what I find :-)

It is very inspiring. I think you are doing a great job. Wish I had been on top of it more at your age. Look forward to commenting more!
Thanks Kelly! So sweet of you to say :) One of the first things I fell in love with in the blogging world was seeing people post up their real #’s as it helped me relate more, so as soon as this blog was created 8 years ago I decided to do the exact thing. I’m glad you’re finding it helpful too!
I found you on the Harmoney Facebook page

Found you on Pinterest. I love how creative and disciplined you both have become duringg this journey.
Thanks! We’ve been practicing for quite a while now :)
Bumped into you on Twitter after adding Mike & Lauren, then Pinterest snooping someone’s finance pins after they liked a graphic I saved by Mr. Money Mustache. Settled in after reading your Jan 15 Business Insider article. I’ve been hitching the credit card roller coaster for YEars. Hit 40 and am determined to quit that ride (just calculated in my efforts to slash ‘n burn as quick as possible I put 48% of my paycheck to it last month—WTF is THAT??!). Slavery and madness… Spankings aside, YNAB is changing my life. Loved your side hustle bit. So many cover the same turf. I just got paid brushing off my theater minor and Audacity chops on my first v/o gig. Hope to get that off the ground. Look forward to diving into your spreadsheets. Thanks, Sexy.
Nice! You’re all kinds full of spunk over there! NO doubt you’ll be out of that debt and killing it going forward. Thanks for stopping by and intro’ing yourself – keep pushing!!
Hey dude,
I found your site thru a link on a Facebook post which brought me to Business Insider and then to you. I’m really digging the site so far and I’m looking forward to reading more of your stuff…keep it up!!
Rock on! Hope to see you on the beach one day when we’re nice and financially free :)
I am working on my financial goals for 2016, and I came across a “52-week challenge” on my financial institution’s website, which had me curious as to what the total might be if I chose to do that. So, I googled “if i save $1 per week and increase it by $1 every week, how much will I have in 365 days?”
I hope you do it! It’s a great challenge indeed!
I am looking for a great way to make some real money I am a certified pipe welder look for a opportunity to make some real money at something new you have any ideals

I hope i am in a right place…I just created a Motif account, and thinking what to pick to build my portfolio..i am planning to put $500 in motif’s, can you advice me which stocks to pick up mainly dividend yield ones, i do not have any knowledge on stocks and all…but i want to invest to see some growing money! Your site is rocking…keep writing.. :)
Hah! I’m actually the last person to ask on this stuff to be honest as I don’t like stock picking :) I’m an “index” guy and put my $$ in the broad market vs trying to pick the best stocks and to get in and out at the best times, yada yada yada. I admire all of y’all who enjoy that, but just not me anymore..
Here’s a list of my favorite investing bloggers – try them out:

Tell your friend I owe them a beer!
Someone posted a link in Frugal Living forums re: your 12 mos spending less. I really enjoyed it!
Cool – thx for being here :)
Hi! I was up till 1 am last night roaming though your website. Thanks for all the tidbits of information. I am a self-employed bookkeeper, and have the worst personal money management and savings strategy. That is – take care of everyone else and bury my head when it comes to my own finances. Hey, the cobblers children run around barefoot right? I can’t wait to get my financial world in order. I am mostly a frugal person, I spend as little as possible, but also don’t like to work, I love my free time. So I make as little as possible, which means no savings, none, zilch.. That has worked for the last 10 or so years, but now I am becoming a prisoner in my own home, not having money to go out and spend on fun things, like dinners with friends or travel as much as I’d like to.
So, anyways I tried to open a USAA account this morning and unfortunately found out it is for Military personnel and families only. Boo. I was really looking forward to transferring out my tiny amount of money and telling Citibank what I thought of them. I found a local branch of Wescom credit union that I may use. Any other banks for checking and savings you recommend?… Set up my Mint, Acorn and Digits accounts last night. Who knew those types of tools existed, apparently not me.
Thanks again for sharing your journey, can’t wait to implement part of it to mine.
Rock on! Way to take action now and change it up :)
Check out Simple Bank when you get a chance – that’s where my $$ would be if I weren’t w/ USAA. Here’s my review: https://budgetsaresexy.com/2015/11/simple-bank-review/
(And btw – I actually have the opposite problem of you! I work more than I want to and need to figure out how to get more of that free time… So we all have our own issues! :))
I follow JD Roth’s Money Boss and he had an article about podcasts…I’ve been listening to your and Paula’s podcast and then checked out your site.
Nice! We’re about to have him on the show actually – stay tuned for it :)
On Simple Savings
Cool – never heard of but going now to check out!

Nice! Lance is a great guy – have shared many a beers with him over the years :) Thanks for giving my blog a shot.
I’m not sure where I originally saw your link. I believe it was an article in a money magazine. It had an article about you and I read it. I think anyone who is concerned about their spending habits could use good advice. I know I sure could :-)
Rock on – glad you made it here :)
i found you in an article in the penny hoarder
Cool!
Searched for info on Digit and found your review.
Let me know if you end up giving them a shot – saved over $3,500 w/ them so far!
I heard Paula on the Bigger Pockets Podcast. I looked up her Afford Anything website and learned that you two were doing a Podcast. I subscribed to M.O.N.EY. Podcast. I really enjoy the topics and the chemistry that you two have. So, here I am!
I took your advice on your podcast and started using Digit when you first talked about it. I wish I would of waited since they are now sponsoring the podcast…that way you both would of gotten credit for it.
Keep up the great work!
Hah – good job giving it a shot either way :) Let me know how you like it after some time has passed! Hope you get something good out of this blog too – great community we’ve got here.
I listened to a Podcast you did with the Mad FIentist. It was great – I wanted to find out what else you had to say.

I follow Paula at Afford Anything and have been listening to you two on THE MONEY pod cast!
hooray! thanks for coming on over here too! :)
J. Money! So how did I find your site? Well, it’s sorta a long story, but I’ll make it quick. As some background information, I am a senior in college and about to graduate. I was fortunate enough to get an internship this past summer with an awesome company that decided to give me a job offer before going back to school. Yay! :)
Now onto how I found your site. One day in the lab I started an excel file to estimate my monthly taxes and potential future expenses. I guess I was making a budget for post-graduation. I realized the tax system is actually quite complicated, so I decided to sign up for a finance class for my final semester. While taking that class I happened to Google “best personal finance sites.” As I looked through the list on some random site I saw BudgetsAreSexy.com… I couldn’t help but think, “Budgets are sexy…? This has to be a perfect!” I’ve been reading your site ever since. Love your blog and podcast by the way.
Hah – awesome!! Thanks for letting me know man, totally made my day :)
And GOOD FOR YOU on figuring this stuff out early too – I didn’t start until in my mid 20s! You’re gonna be so well off man if you keep paying attention. Be proud of yourself!
I am hyper focused on reaching FI right now and love to read about others doing the same. I saw this blog in a comment section of another blog. Thanks for keeping me motivated!
Thanks for joining our community! :)
Haha, I think it was divine intervention. Haha. I really need this blog. I have recently been separated and have to pull all bills myself now. The funny thing is, I texted my sister and said my palm has been itching all morning and she said “which hand.” Unfortunately, it was the left. It makes sense since I just got a notice from my mobile carrier that I am late with my payment. Oh, my. My sister was mum about the meaning so I looked it up and found your website. I love the title “Budgets are Sexy”. It got my attention. I have been trying to live within my means but I have so many expenses. I stopped cable, but some folks in my family think I am a bit eccentric for that move. Oh well, I will (must) survive.
You’ll find that the more you start paying attention to your $$ the more everyone ELSE looks crazy :) Welcome to the journey!
From the Surviving and Thriving blog
Cool… She was getting feisty with me the other day ;)
I also found your blog on Pinterest. It was a pin featuring the article that you re-posted about living on 50% of your budget. We are so not there and I was reading it trying to see how people are doing it. We have been doing Dave Ramsey’s debt snowball since 2009!!!!! and still aren’t finished – however have had 2 children and bought a house along the way (I know, I know – not part of Dave’s plan lol). We are hoping to be debt free except the house within 5 years but it is taking sssoooo long! However I must confess – I am not nearly as “gazelle intense” as my husband. Funny how in a marriage one spouse is usually a spender and one is usually a saver.
Anyway – love your blog so far. Keep up the good work!
Yeah! Debt Snowball action is where it’s at – congrats on starting it years ago, and even more so keeping on it! Not fun stuff but your future selves will thank you immensely for it :) Thanks for taking the time to poke around my blog – hope it helps y’all shed that debt even faster!
I’m drowning right now. I’m about to be garnished, cant afford to pay all of the bills every month. I’ve never had anyone teach me about finances so ….here I am. I found you through a google search. That brought me to a website called bankrate.com. You were mentioned in that article so I wanted to see if I found anything to help me with my budgeting. I would like to not live paycheck to paycheck. Thats my basic goal right now.
A damn good goal to strive for too! And you get that down the rest will be easier to handle :) Poke around the archives here and soak it all up! Here are some of my favorite other blogs too if it helps:
https://budgetsaresexy.com/blogroll/
Gotta keep reading until stuff starts clicking! You can do it!!
I am reading Patrice Washington’s book Real Money Answers and she recommended your blog as one that would be helpful in my journey to financial freedom.
Sweetness – love that girl, she’s crazy talented. (And obviously has great taste ;))
I found you on Lifehacker.com –
Cool – great site!
I found your blog on pinterest!
Hey, very cool! Was wondering where you showed up from :)
Did you see that you were famous yesterday?
https://budgetsaresexy.com/2016/04/mid-week-financial-motivation/
Everywhere I read about personal finance and early retirement I saw references to this site. Good stuff! Wouldn’t want to miss a post, so it’s best to sign up for the updates!
Haha – awesome! Best types of marketing right there! :)
Hey J. Money!
Found you via Rockstar Finance. I’m really digging your and Paula’s podcasts and have almost ripped through all of them. I really like y’all’s style and am learning while having some laughs. I don’t understand why folks said your podcast doesn’t have substance. Y’all’s polarity is great. I’m so much more like you than Paula, so I can really relate. I have a short attention span, also and don’t like writing long posts. Well, keep up the great work!!!
Keith “Shin” Schindler
Hey Shin!
Thx for the love, brotha – means a lot. Glad you’re finding it helpful and enjoying the bantor :)
Hope your wallet explodes from it!
I found this link by an article about MTurk.
Cool – let me know if you end up trying it out, and how much you make! :)
I found you guys through Pinterest. Great site!….. BTW could you tell me the name of your facebook plugin? I love it…thanks guys. :)
Glad you like! :)
I don’t actually use a plugin for FB – it’s just the code I got from FB itself… I think off their developer’s page or something? Was just a matter of copying/pasting it into a text widget and then adjusting the size….
Hope that helps!
I realized that after 4 years of working minimum wage to 10$/hr jobs, I don’t have much to show for it. I want to grow my wealth and t I need to learn more about budgeting to do so. Love the content here!
Good job being on finance blogs to get things going! It’s all do-able!
Budget is what I’m looking for. Tough time tough expenses–just looking for new ideas. I think I am like a snail in the boiling pot. By the time, I know I’m cooked! Looking, finding, and searching way to improve a little case. Saw a few ideas on your web. Thank you!
It def. helps looking for stuff online like you are! Congrats! We gotta get you out of that pot! :)

Found you through the USAA “magazine”
Yeah USAA! Member for life!
Read about you in USAA magazine. Looking forward to learning manage my money better, and even more so enjoying your blog posts.
~Jordan
Thanks! Hope it helps fatten your wallet some :)
Got the link in USAA financial news, and super glad about it because I love budgeting! I’m in marketing and PR, but I often get confused with being a ‘nerd’ and excel fanatic because I am such a big fan of budgeting, but I agree, budgets are sexy! Super psyched to read your articles and share them with friends and family. I wish these lessons were taught more prevalently in high school and not later in life once people realize they can’t manage their money.
Alright alright alriiiiight!
Welcome to the cool kids table!
Found out about you in USAA magazine. Happy to come across something that actually piqued my interest in learning more about a topic a lot of single ladies shy away from (from lack of knowledge)
Good! And we try to have fun here so it hopefully won’t be as boring as you’re probably used to ;)
I found you in an article about rags to riches on our WA today newspaper site (Western Australia)
am looking forward to reading all the old stuff until I catch up to now..
Thanks heaps for this information
Rock on! The past 3 years of content is the best… though it’s fun looking in the archives too if you have the time and energy :) There’s over 2,100 articles…
Believe it or not, I found your site on Pinterest.

Well have just finished college and trying to find my way to financial freedom and bumped on this. Great stuff.
Wow, you’re smart looking for this stuff so early on! You beat me by like 5 years! :)
Hi “J” – I found your site (awhile ago) through your work with Paula P. Great stuff here! You guys are changing lives!
Coolness! thanks for giving my blog a shot :)
Paula’s incredible, really sweet (and smart!). Thx for stopping by!
Hi j thank you for welcoming me to your world, I am hoping to learn more from you

I’ve been a life coach for many years. Had a client ask me to engage them in Money Management Skills. As a refresher, I googled and reviewed several sites. Yours had common sense information that furthered my own skills in this arena.
:)
Cool! Glad you’re finding it helpful :) And fun being a life coach too, I’d imagine! I used to do money coaching and blog coaching before and loved the one-on-on personalization of it all… Took a lot of energy but so cool when the light bulbs go off!
Was surfing the net for ideas for side hustle since my main hustle ain’t regular. Great thing you have going here.
Rock on. Hope it helps pad your wallet some :)
I found you after reading one of the USAA articles I get in my inbox.
So honored to be featured there – love that we’ve got more USAA members now to the site!
I found you on google after asking a question about savings accounts. Thanks for the useful information. I look forward to future emails about your posts :). Thanks!
Awesome! It’s nice having you here :)
I was googling how to find out how much money I made during my lifetime and you popped up at the top of the SEO. Good job on that optimization. I’m a stress management blogger and I often feature financial bloggers in my social media because getting one’s finances in order can help reduce a person’s stress. I’m looking forward to reading your blog.
Oh yeah, def. the truth! Getting your $$$ down solves a lot of problems in life. Thanks for giving the blog a shot :)
I learned about you through MSN.COM website, then an article by Business Insider called ’12 Strategies to Save a Fortune from real people who retired before 40.
Hope that helps.
P.S. I signed up because I’m inspired by your ideas, and if I ever get over this negative self talk, I may actually try some of these out.
Thank you
Nice! I won’t make it to retirement before 40 but hey – can’t hurt to try, right?
As for your negative self talk – YOU CAN DO It!!! Just try to accomplish one small thing a day no matter how insignificant it feels, and soon enough it’ll all snowball into financial awesomeness… And just know you’re not alone either – we ALL struggle during different phases of this :) I’m currently struggling in a cash-flow/make more money off your projects type way and it sucks. There’s always something going on, but the the trick is to keep pushing a little a day until you breakthrough and hit the next obstacle, haha…
YOU GOT THIS!!
Link on Pinterest.
Thanks for giving it a shot :)
Money Peach hooked me up! He posted your “what a Million $ loos like” on facebook.
Woo! I’ll have to owe him a cold beer then :)
I honestly just happened across this website looking for new prelaunch mlm businesses and ways to save money while making money. Your article was a great read and I look forward to seeing what more is to come. Thanks!!
Very cool – hopefully you can find some good ideas for some hustles… I’m personally not a fan of the MLM stuff, but I know some are better than others.
Found it through a set of links on Pinterest. Looking forward to reading more. I’m already retired / FI, but that doesn’t mean I want to stop there. Still saving….
Oh wow, hardcore! I like it! :)
I found a link to your blog in an article by James Dennin: Save More by Tricking Your Brain. 8/17/16 Money:Mic.
Nice! Loving your cat site btw, haha… the wink is a nice touch on the logo :)
I have been listening to Optimal Finance Daily which reads your blogs on the podcast. Sometimes I like to see the print later so I signed up!
Awesome! He’s a cool guy – such a great idea for a podcast :)

Financial blogs are a good place to be for that!
Here’s a list of 60+ side hustles if you wanna see if anything clicks:
https://budgetsaresexy.com/ways-to-make-money/
Good luck!
lol I found you guys by typing “I don’t want anybody touching my money except myself” into Google because I. HATE. FINANCIAL. BROKERS.
Your website came up, so I figured it would help me gain more control over my finances without someone trying to get their dirty, grubby hands on my nice clean cash as part of their “fees”.
Hah! Well you’re definitely in the right place for that ;)
to be honest the site just seems of my interests
well I’m glad to hear it :)
Found you through an older Forbes interview detailing your success as a blogger. Love what I’ve explored so far! I’m just getting started with blogging….finalized that decision tonight :)……so I’m grateful for the education and community!
Nice!! I hope you love it so much! You never know what can come out of it :)
Binge listening to Financial Rockstar podcasts. Scott seemed to like you:)
Nice!
Just hung out with him this weekend actually at a conference :) He’s a chill dude.
I found you via your interview on the Financial Independence podcast. Great info! Thanks for sharing budget template. :)
Thanks for giving it a shot!
I just had beers with Mad Fientist this weekend – great (and nice!) dude :)

Found you in Pinterest looking for side jobs.Love it, trying to get out of medical bills debt( Paid on CC).Lost a 13 year full time, have a part time job( for 15 years) that offer insurance but not much $$$, babysitting on the side, and maybe by next week a second part time job, dream of not having debt, like every body else.I hope in 1 and half year be free of debt.
I hope so too!! With a hustler mentality like that, I’m sure you’ll make it – and probably faster :)
Keep going!! You got this!
A friend told me about you at work.
You have smart friends :)
I came across your blog through Young Adult Money by Mr. Carlson.
I am 54 and work for the State of California as a legal secretary. I am looking into side hustles to pay down $ 9,000 (1st priority), save money and bump up monies in my 401(k).
I also have about $30,000 left from an inheritance. I need to move it from RBC Dain Raucher account to another firm and have decided on Schwab. I looked and looked for financial advisers to give me advice. I found that there are very few professionals out there who are fee based and provide financial advice to people like me.
Thanks,
Maggie
Hmm…. I’ve compiled a list of fee-only advisors from my circle if you want to check out?
http://pfdirectory.org/financial-planners/
Most are millennial-focused, but a handful are outside of that and should be able to help you out.
Just looking to be financially stable.
Being on finance blogs is a good step :)
Found you through a post on Facebook about a condotel.
Rock on… that was one of my favorites lately – so fascinating/different, right?
I just listened to your interview with Mad Fientist and wow! I was blown away, first, by your exuberance about the material, and, second, the material. I am here to learn even more. I already track my networth on an excel spreadsheet that I made for myself…with graphs and pie charts and colors and everything…and I want to see how people are doing and continue to track my own networth.
Love it, Liz! One of the best things you can do, in my opinions :) My recent net worth will be going out tomorrow on the blog. Thanks for all the kind words!
I have followed your blog for about 5-6 months now. It’s been entertaining, educational, fun, & encouraging all at once. Kept track of expenses for about 20 months now with a spreadsheet with great eye opening results… It’s about time I join your family of attentive valuers. You do a great job. Thanks Jon
Thanks so much, Jon! Good for you for taking action and tracking it all! Your money will never be the same :)
Found you from The Retirement Manifesto! Super informative blog you have here!
Nice! Thanks for being here :)
I found you on Pinterest. I am always looking for ways to educate myself about budgeting and finance.
Very smart! Hope you find some good takeaways here :)
Found your pin on Pinterest :) Just subscribed!
Hope you enjoy! :)
I found u thru the internet….
Hope you find the blog helpful!
Hi J.
I Googled “1+2+3 to 365” and your site was the first one up. I was curious how much I would save if I saved a penny the first day, two pennies the next, etc. The answer was right there – thanks.
Julia
Hah! That’s pretty funny considering I had to google the same thing in order to write MY post on it :) Neat to see I’m now at the top – woo! Thanks for signing up to our emails!
Your website popped up while searching on creating multiple savings accts at USAA. Looking to create a yearly savings plan by saving 1.00 the first week, 2.00 the 2nd, etc,.
Great challenge to take!
I was looking at reviews for the app Acorns and came across your review that you did in November of 2016. Great review by the way!
COOL!!!! Glad you like!
I found you by listening to the Optimal Living Daily podcast and thought I’d take a closer look.
Great show :)
Much the same as Kellie, I found your website by listening to the Optimal Living Daily podcast by Justin Malik. I think I had previously seen your website on a Business Insider link too. So OLD prompted me to look further after hearing/reading about you more than once.
I’m a new follower from across the pond in the UK. Looking forward to turning my financial situation around.
Rock on! Thanks for giving it a shot :)
Was looking up ideas for getting a budget together and your site popped up first. Great job on the site and the info looks great! I am super excited to start digging in.
Well you’re definitely in the right place for that :) Hope you enjoy my attempts of trying to make this stuff fun!
I did an online search for top financial bloggers and yours came up as the most popular. Thank you for all of your articles and knowledge. I am learning so much!
Well that’s nice to hear, thx! And for giving our blog a shot :)
I was digging around the internet about articles and blogs regarding retirement and saw your site.
I’m older than your average reader but still find much to enjoy, especially about all the new apps that are around. Also nice to see people of a younger age who are at the same place I was 20 years ago basically doing the same thing, investing regularly in an indexed fund for retirement. As we know, there are many bumps along the way (both in the markets and in life) but if you remain disciplined time will work its magic!
You know it!
I think next on your list should be starting your *own* blog to share with us all your years of experience over time :) The demographic of $$ bloggers are def. skewed young.
In fact, you can see a list of all the blogs we’re tracking online here – you can see just how many there are per age group!
http://directory.rockstarfinance.com/personal-finance-blogs/
I found the site from reading an article on Flipboard.
thx for giving it a shot!
I found your site after a link to an article by ESI was posted in a Washington Post article by Michelle Singletary.
That was a pretty cool article to see! Hope you enjoy the blog :)
I would put the $100 in the BANK!
Surfing the web for “how to make money”
We do like to talk about that a lot here :)
I’ve been a lurker/stalker for the past few years. Your website is the only one I will religiously read every day when I know a new article is coming out. I commented once on your site and was tickled pink when you commented back or rather tipped your hat at me…lol lol lol still laughing at that…You’ve kept me sane on my debt free journey…everytime I feel the urge to derail from my budget you’ve been able to distract me from my frenemy amazon and her best friend etsy!
Aw yyayyyy! So glad to hear, my lurker friend :) Thanks for taking the time to let me know – that really means a lot. Keep pushing forward!
I heard about the site from Patrice Williams book “Real Money Answers For Every Woman”
rock on! Patrice is great!
I want to cost a budjet for my project on marine turtle conservation for a period of one year

Ive just recently started listening to the Optimal Living Daily Podcast and the posts that Justin has read from your site really caught my attention!
Very cool! He’s awesome – love his concept he’s got going on.
was searching on google for apps that scan emails and this is the first one that popped up!!!! hoping to see how it works!
You must have come across our Paribus review? Either way – hope you enjoy the blog! :)
My money win for June was paying off my $2,000 credit card balance all at once and saving myself about thirty dollars in interest! Also a win was opening a Barclay card which gives you $200 just for opening the card.! #win!
congrats!!
now don’t rack any new $$$ up on the new Barclay card! ;)
Landed here via a link in the YNAB weekly roundup newsletter. I’m a devoted YNAB user and (maybe a little too) enthusiastic about budgeting.
Can you ever be “too enthusiastic” really? ;)
Hello from London! I found you via YNAB. Using YNAB has helped me in so many ways from quitting smoking to buying a new apartment to sliding through Christmas stress free. Next goal is planning a wedding whilst not going into £1 of debt. With the right tools and attitude it’s not hard to do!
Beautiful!! We’re big fans of YNAB here, so you are in good company :) Congrats on the engagement!
I saw Mr. 1500 Days is going to be writing for you. I enjoy his writing, so I followed to your site.
I’ll have to buy him a beer then! :)
I read an article written by you on MSN.com about a wealthy person who spends very little.
That was a fun post – glad you enjoyed :)
Found you through a post by The Savy Life. Love your website and the story of POF!
Rock on! We feature a new interesting story like that every Friday, so stay tuned for our next one :)
I found you in an article on business insider about tracking your networth. I have recently started a small business so alot of financing articles and courses have caught my attention.
Being on $$$ blogs is a good place for that stuff! As well as entrepreneurship as mos of us dabble in that as well and like to share our experiences/tips/frustrations ;)
I was just surfing and poof…there you were !!
If only the same thing could happen with more $$$ in our wallets ;)
Hi! I found you in this article – http://www.businessinsider.com/millionaire-retired-favorite-spending-saving-hacks-2017-9

Beautiful! And I agree!
I found you via an article by Tim Stobierski published on Marketwatch.com today.
Rock on! That was a great article too… you have to pass $0 net worth before you can get to $1,000,000 net worth! ;)
Here it is if anyone wants to read it: http://www.marketwatch.com/story/why-im-celebrating-my-zero-net-worth-2017-10-10
I don’t understand anything here

https://budgetsaresexy.com/use-this-chart-to-save-1000-this-year/
i sew your wabsite on internet
Afford anything podcast
beautiful! it was fun co-hosting that show for a while :)
Google’d how to become a financial blogger and your site was mentioned as one of the successful ones.
rock on! it’s a fun gig if you enjoy blogging :) I’d never recommend it purely for the money though as there are plenty of other jobs you can make decent money from, and faster, than blogging… gotta really enjoy it!
Sup J. I would try blogging I think its fun when I run my own open channel and I’m my goofy carefree self spreads positive vibes.
Do it!! Never know where it would lead you :)
I found you on a google search as I am very interested in the topic of financial well-being as I am a Financial Coach. I fell in love with the name of your “budgets are sexy” blog immediately. I read you all the time and share your blogs with others often. keep up the great work.
WOOT WOOT! I love that you’re a financial coach! Thanks for doing that for the world!! :)
I found you on a recent post on LinkedIn from Business Insider. Looking forward to learning from you and sharing the knowledge with my husband and my children.
Rock on! Thanks for giving my blog a shot! :)
Hola! I found your treasure trove of money wisdom somewhere between gocurrycracker and Poor Richard’s Retirement! Thanks! L;)
Poor Richard’s Retirement – hah! Great name for a blog! Welcome to the party here :)
I was looking for an acronym for MONEY because I am thinking about starting a money / financial club to assist women, particularly young adults on how to save $$.
Beautiful!! I hope you go through with it! We need as much help as we can get spreading the good word on money :)
I’m new to Rockstar Finance Forums and saw your article that you just FIRE’d yourself from there. Good luck in your continuing endeavors here and at home.
Thanks Rybo! Hope you enjoy the community we’ve built over there :)
I did a google search that turned up familymint.com and then thought your name was the funniest!
Nice!! Was all a part of the evil plan :)
You got a shoutout on the Choose Fi podcast.
Oh, man – that show is taking off like crazy! It was the #1 podcast recommended when we polled 100+ bloggers: http://rockstarfinance.com/best-financial-podcasts-rated-by-finance-bloggers/
I’ve been reading your Rockstar Finance links for a couple of years already – saw you FIRE’d yourself so thought I’d better sign up here :-)
I’m 38 with two boys aged 3 & 5. Working full time in Auckland, New Zealand. Obsessed with anything FIRE related.
Nice!!! We’re like exactly the same, only opposite sexes and opposite places in the world :)
I found link to your blog from a Google search about what it’s like working on a cruise ship, lol. It linked me to your article about 70+ side hustles and I fell in love man. I’ve already signed up for mechanical turk to help bring in a bit of cash while I have free time. And I’m applying for a business license to start working as a mystery shopper! I’m really exited for 2018. Just getting out of my grandparents place all on my own. I’m ready for this struggle man. I’m really grateful I found your blog.
GOOD!!! You’re gonna kill it with that attitude too – I can feel the hustle bubbling inside of you over there, haha…
I found this pin on Pinterest and I decided to check it out.
Rock on – hope you enjoy the blog!
Through Cait Flanders via https://caitflanders.com/
Love Cait! You have good taste :)
What happens when you hit 1M?
I smile, and then get right back to what I was doing :) (after blogging about it, of course, haha…)
I found you through a YNAB podcast
Love them!! Another place that believes budgets are sexy :)
I found you on The Street website while searching for saving activities for our clients.
Nice!!! Wasn’t aware they were featuring me – thanks for letting me know! And hope you find some good $$$ activities on the blog – we do like to get creative every now and then :)
I’ve been stalking this blog for years (haha!) and I realized I never signed up for your newsletter. Your net worth post pushed me to start looking at my net worth.
GOOD!!! And I bet it’s only grown since, am I right?
Yo! I found this through another website, thousandaire.com. This site seems cool! Look forward to learning!
Oh man, that used to be one of my fave blogs back in the day! Glad to hear it’s still around! Thanks for giving mine a shot :)
I came across this site looking for other ways to make money. I will keep checking out this page and see what opportunities come my way.
Hope it helps!
Here’s our list of 70+ side hustles if you haven’t come across it as yet:
https://budgetsaresexy.com/ways-to-make-money/

We sure have those :) Hope they help!
Random search – ” best site for tracking net worth”
We def. like talking about net worth tracking here! One of the best things you can do for our money :)
found you site looking for coin giveaway i love coins
Awesome! Check out my coin blog then – you’d probably like that one even more :)
http://cointhrill.com
The Financial Diet on Youtube mentioned your website in the “12 ways to be better with money today” video. This is all new to me as a college student but I hope to become more informed and get the “ball rolling” as they say for future success.
Sweet!
yeah – if you can get a good grasp of it all now and not screw up for decades like most of us do, you’re gonna be just fine in life :) this stuff really isn’t that hard – it’s just *making it a habit* and remembering your priorities. All of which is better to get locked in earlier than later when you get used to spending so much money! Better to not know the difference from the start :)
i found this website when i was looking for ways to make money
cool – you’ll find lots of articles on that here!
I found your website on a Google search about blogs about saving money.
Awesome – very nice to have you here :) Going over to check out your site now!
I found your website while searching for reviews on Motif Investing
Cool cool… Let me know if you end up trying them out and what you think :) (I stopped after my year-long experiment, I didn’t like having my investment accounts scattered around and just moved the $$ over to my main Vanguard account)
I Found You by reading the book financial literacy by Dave Ramsey
Woahhh did Ramsey feature/link to me in it? That would be pretty cool if he did!!
got here by recommendation from Matt Becker
Rock on – another great blogger!
My professor for Faith and Money gave a list of blogs to follow, we could choose 3 and I chose you.
Well that’s neat!!! Faith And Money – can’t say they ever had any of those courses at my school – sounds fascinating!
I found you in Google search when I was looking for one interesting article.
Cool – hope you find something good here!
I searched “tip for carryout orders” and found you asking the same question.
While I sympathize with the restaurant workers who commented that they lose out on tips when they are expected to handle carryouts, I am still firmly in the “no tip” group on that one. I just don’t think it’s fair to put it on the customer to know whether the person handing over the food is someone paid more or a server who did nothing more than take a box from the kitchen and take money or a server who’s losing out. Also, I’m also fed up with the tipping culture and wish the restaurants would charge me more and pay the servers a decent wage.
All that said, I really appreciated your open mind and thoughtful responses to those who may have gotten a bit worked up over the issue. I will be working back through the archives in between reading new posts. Cheers!
rock on!
I’d much rather get up front costs too and not have to think about tipping ever again :)
hope you enjoy the other stuff you see here – we def. like to talk about more taboo topics, and most of the good stuff is in the comments with people discussing and continuing the convo!
I found you while looking for something my husband can do from home for income.
I hope you found some good ideas!
Here’s our list of side hustles that features over 70 of them:
https://budgetsaresexy.com/ways-to-make-money/
I googled “things that are sexy.”
hah – that would do it!
Want to start a low cost home business that helps people create balanced household budgets. I love “paying me some bills” too. Thanks for the great info on the AADMM membership.
Rock on! I hope you do it – there’s a real need for it out there!
Just started listening to Jesse on YNAB and just heard your interview
Oh wow – old school! I should re-listen to it too as it’s been a few years :)
Listing to ChooseFI. Saw your website thought I would check it out. :)

I found your blog when I was looking for personal finance budget templates.
Best search of your life right there ;)
I was Googling personal finance blogs and came across Budgets Are Sexy on some “best of” lists. And it’s hands down my favorite! :)
Hey now – thanks so much!! Don’t you know how to make a blogger feel good :) Thanks for being here!
I was searching for; hire someone to pay my bills and I reach your pop up.
Rock on – those people do exist! “Daily Money Managers” they’re called :)
I have been following Frugalwoods blog which is great and then started looking for other similar blogs
cool! thanks for giving mine a shot! we’re not as frugal as them, but we do sure like to talk about money here :)
I am looking into becoming a freelance bartender. googled and found you!
Very cool – let me know if you end up going for it and how it works out for you :)
I found you through the Optimal Finance Daily OLD podcast! Love listening to your blog posts during my morning commute.
Awesome!! I really love what they’re doing too – not just cuz I’m featured on it – but it’s just a great way to re-share good content out there from the whole community to an audience that wouldn’t necessarily come elsewhere. Or to reading vs audio for that matter. So thanks for crossing over! Hope you like the change! :)
I found a link from the Millennial Revolution web site. Firecracker’s Blog youngest retirie in Canada. Yeah
Nice – I like those guys! Very fun in real life.
Found you thru a link from the YNAB Fans FB group post.

I was going through old emails and came across an email with the title of How a Journal Completely Changed my Finances. It caught my attention and I read the entire article. Then I realized I could click on the title and it brought me to this page. I love it and am excited to get started.
great! thanks for being here :)
I found you when i was reading about how to become a billioniare.
haha awesome…. are you getting closer? :)
Hey I found you listening to early episodes of Afford Anything. It’s inspiring that you’ve been publishing your net worth and that the simple VTSAX kicks butt in the long run. I lost lots of $$$ using active funds, primarily with American Funds and their crazy front end loads….YIKES! I really enjoy this community and hope the FIRE keeps spreading. Congrats on your new or soon to be new addition to your family.
Hey – thanks for stopping by and checking out the blog, man! Hope you find it useful! Crazy to think it’s been two years since that podcast now, wow… Paula’s still rockin’ it though!
Hi, a friend suggested your site. She did a talk at a Society of Women Engineers local conference in Portland Oregon on early retirement, so I knew she was informed on the subject.
Nice!! Anyone spreading the good financial word is a friend of mine! :)
I came across your site purely by accident ….I was having a itchy palm moment and could not remember the old saying so as I am off to see my Mum in September in the UK and could do with a few extra pounds thought I’d give it a go …..thanks Guys
Roger
Hope you enjoy it!
I found your podcast with Paula, and being me, I always want as much info as I can get so I decided to follow both of your blogs. I’m a bit on the young side (at 18) so I need the help, tips, and tricks :)
GOOD!!! You’re gonna be so much better off starting at that age than the most of us! Some people never even figure it out!
i found this site looking for a cool unique type of piggy bank for my son who is a very smart and unique sense of style:)
Haha, nice… Did you find any? Maybe the Grenade Bank that you can break open later? :)
Hey there. Found you from the mad FIentist after diggin down the MMM hole. I started this whole thing after getting my first job as a lawyer with a big firm and didn’t know how to save the large income.
NICE!! A great problem to have! And especially good to get the game plan going early before you even make gobs more down the road… You’re in good company with this group :)
Hey J, actually found you through Michelle Singletary’s (Washington Post) Monday column on retirement issues. This led to Rockstar Finance which I love love love!
Have been lurking for a while but wanted to thank you for opening my eyes to get my $ in shape AND retire early (OK only 2 years early but it’s 2 years I can do whatever I enjoy whenever I want, right?)
Thanks again and good luck with everything (especially your soon to be new addition!)
Amy
Woo – congrats!!! Just the fact you’re *able* to retire is a win in my books – so many people are screwed waiting so long to act :( So good job making it happen!! And thanks for all the kind words today!
I found you on my Google news feed.
Cool :) Thanks for giving it a shot!
Hi there!
I found out your site during one of my scrolling trances on instragram. I am passionate about personal finance and I look forward to an exciting time here. Cheers

HAH! That’s awesome!! Very nice to e-meet you, my man.

Yes!! Amazon is a perfect example! :)
I found you while searching quarterly bonus.

I was following links on pinterest on frugal living and happened on one of your links
Hope you enjoy it!
Hey! I found your website because I came across the podcast with Paula Pant. My husband and I just bought our third investment property which is why I was interested in her Podcast, but I loved listening to you too! Just got to the episode where you announce you’re leaving! WAAA (I binged from the beginning). I own my own small business (a yoga studio) and I’m obsessed with maintaining health and growing wealth. Because what good is all the money in the world if you’re not healthy enough to enjoy it?! I love my studio, but my husband and I are working on ways to increase other income streams (hence the real estate). I’m also working on my blog and trying to wrap my head around all the ways to reach more people with it and earn money form it. AH! So much. Anyway, happy to be here and thanks for your content!
Hey Maria! So glad you’re enjoying the podcast! And super impressed by your health focus as I admittedly suck with that and can’t seem to stay motivated :( But you’re absolutely right – money is worthless without it! Will have to hop over to your blog now to learn more and see if you can get my ass in gear ;)
I can’t remember how I originally came across your site (maybe Pinterest?), but when I did, I bookmarked it. Going through my bookmarks today, I spent a little more time here and opted in for your emails. Looking forward to some good insight on saving and building net worth… :)
oh good! glad you’re enjoying so far!
Started thinking about PF a few years ago when my wife and I got married and started looking at houses. I somehow started ready Mr. Money Mustache and branched from there. Yours is one of the few I latched on to.
It’s been 2.5yrs and we have a house, a son, a second on the way and she’s back in school to become a teacher! I think most would come out of that whirlwind set back a bit BUT due to endless amounts of hustle (4 major job changes and 4 different side hustles), we’ve been able to not just survive all of it but build a $200k net worth from near zero at the start.
Anyway, all this time and i somehow missed that you had a emailing list. Happy Savings!
HAH! Awesome man!!! And love that you’ve stuck around for so long :) let’s keep it going until you hit $1,000,000…
I came across this site while looking for financial support without having to spend an arm and a leg in courses. I’ve safely tucked away enough in savings for emergency, working next to pay down debts and save toward growing family.
It’s a beautiful thing!! GO GO GO!
Heard you on the Mad Fientist’s podcast and loved it. You have a great charisma in your voice and ideas; listening to that episode brightened my mood by the warm and laid back tone. I picked up quite a few ideas for myself: your 5 am idea with the journal ;) not being on my phone when in line, challenging any other status quo social norms.
thanks for awesome content!
Alina
Wowwww compliment of the year right there – thank you!!!!
You are my new favorite person!! haha….
Hope the blog meets your expectations now ;)
I found you through the Bigger Pockets podcast. It was great, by the way!
Rock on! Thanks for giving the blog a shot! :)
I found you through your article “I Sock Away A Maximum Of $6,000 in Change”, Very, very inspiring. I actually just took $20.00 out of my bank this past week and will use it for food (if I ever get to wanting to buy food with that money). Mainly I took the money out so that I can build up my emergency fund quickly. I told myself that I would take $20.00 out of the bank each month and then use that for the month. And do that until I get a well-paying job as either a teacher of Spanish or working in Healthcare Management. And just because in the future I told myself that I would have more money does not mean that I have to live as if the money is going out of style..meaning that I will still take $20.00 out of the bank even though I would be a teacher of Spanish.
That and I told myself that I would not touch my debit card unless it was for school fees. That is what my cash is for to pay for my day to day expenses.
Lastly I was inspired by the No Spend Year Article in The Telegraph and am going to do it. The only thing I will be allowed to buy is soap, shampoo, and conditioner. Everything else will stay in the bank. I want to see how much money I can save between now and 2022 in the bank (and also in cash).
Best regards,
Anissa Kaianna Abashidze

Miss Zee
Thanks Miss Zee! Much love!
I found you last year by searching for top personal finance blogs and your name came up on several different lists
Well that’s pretty cool! Thanks for giving it a shot!
I really don’t remember how I found your blog. I think I was looking for some basic excel budgets for a family and one thing lead to another. I am in the Financial industry, but think my husband and I subscribe to a different idea of what it means to be wealthy, compared to what a traditional financial advisor will probably tell you. After being a stay at home mom for eleven years, my husband really wanted to flip the script. He is now a stay at home Dad and I am working a full time traditional job. Sure, it would be financially easier if we both had full time income streams, but I don’t believe it would be better for the well being of our family. I am able to focus and be driven within my career because I know my husband is there for the kids and has meals planned out for the week. It works for us and I love hearing others take on alternative ways of financial independence!
Rock on!!! Love that you guys are putting family/lifestyle first! It’s a beautiful thing!
I found you via Cait Flanders book. I love seeing your posts pop up in my feed!
Cool!! Literally just emailed Cait 2 seconds ago – another great blogger, and person in general!

Thanks for all your help in helping me move towards my financial goals..at 52 I have a lot of catching up to do!!
YES! Exactly the beauty of collecting – it’s all about the stories behind them! :)
You’re now entered for it! (Although you left your entry on the wrong page haha…)
This morning I discovered a FREE copy of The Millionaire Next Door in our condo’s free book library this morning and that reminded that I haven’t visited your site in months.
BOOM!!

Found you while reading an article on ESI
Sweet – another excellent blog!
Read the article on guy who bought Rockstar Finance. I fell into a euphoria for saving when I was putting $$ away to send my kid to college. I stopped buying stuff, then stopped needing stuff and finally stopped wanting stuff. Today, I have a small nest egg and want to learn to make it grow and possibly, take the early out (retirement). Looking forward to learning….
“I stopped buying stuff, then stopped needing stuff and finally stopped wanting stuff. ”
BOOM! That’s where it’s at right there, good for you! You’ll hit FIRE in no time with that new mindset – loving it.

While searching for a personal finance guru – I came across your website on Kiplinger.
Hope you don’t get too disappointed when you find out I’m not a “guru”, but we do love talking about money here :)
Heyo :3
I stumbled across the website when I googled “how often should you check your bank account”
I was wondering if it would be too overkill to check your balance once a day. I only check mine before and after I make purchases. But I wanted to see what other people did and see what worked for me.
I really like the name of the website by the way! Budgets are definitely sexy ;3
Hahaha
Nice!
I used to check like 3x a day, and now maybe 3x a month :) Mainly when I’m looking for certain transactions or updating our monthly net worth.
There could be worse habits to have though than checking it often! Haha…
Information is wealth anyway! Everyone want to be on top, including me.
I got to know about Budgets are sexy when searching deeply on how to conquer my financial imbalance, Rich today, poor tomorrow, which is the most challenging stack of every human being. I wish, I will be able to get the final journey from here. keep it up
Being on $$$ blogs will certainly help you get there, so good job poking around! :)

I spent all day yesterday at work on your blog…yikes! I found you after clearing old emails. A while ago I sent myself a link: http://blog.wallstreetsurvivor.com/2016/06/02/financial-gurus-you-should-be-taking-advice-from/ and finally got around to reading it! Hey, thanks!!! Your boss should give you a raise for spending such great quality time yesterday ;) I give you permission to do it all over again today!
I found your page doing researching on anonymous bloggers, I researched for a while and I’ve finally decided to do it! I’m blogging about life and personal experiences with relationships, depression and many other things. It’s also like an advice column where I’m just there for people to vent to and get advice about their own personal situations. Any advice on how to get an audience?
Excellent!! I’m sure people will find that incredibly helpful!
Here are some of my favorite tips towards the bottom of this post here:
https://budgetsaresexy.com/a-bunch-of-questions-on-debt-investing-and-blogging-yo/
But really at this point, it’s all about pouring your heart into the content and then just networking around! It all speeds up from there!

I came across you by looking for a place to sell my Photobooth business. Any suggestions?
Craigslist? Facebook?
I’d imagine someone there would express an interest. Photobooths are such an interesting way to make some side money!
They sure are, on top of making work so much fun! I have some health issues that have caused me to withdraw :/

I found jmoney through twitter and now really enjoying you Joel! Your posts are great!
Cheers Tara!
I heard about this blog from the excellent book – RESET: How to Restart Your Life and Get F.U. Money by David Sawyer. I’m really enjoying what I’ve read of your blog so far and I look forward to working my way through the archives!
Rock on – thx for giving it a shot!
I literally GDG’d how to make side money as a college student. Yours was in the top 100 suggestions so I’m checking it out.
LOL, I meant DDG (duck duck go)
Hey J. Money! I’m wanting to help others with their financial literacy and the “fears” about money and it being a “nasty”, “dirty”, not desirable topic to discuss and I found your website and blog listed as one of the top 70 websites to visit in 2020.
I LIKE YOUR NAME OF THE WEBSITE: BUDGETS ARE SEXY……. CLEVER!!
Hey Amanda! That’s awesome – thank you for spreading the good word and helping people improve their financial lives!
After years of avoiding anything related to financial investing because it was “uncomfortable” and I just hoped it would all somehow take care of itself because I had a good job and a 401K…..I’ve now retired, and realize I can’t really just set and forget. Too many considerations and the more educated I am, the better all around.
Really enjoy your site! Have been soaking it all up for a few days now.
I discovered this blog while looking for a personal finance site where people don’t talk like robots and discuss real issues…Too much of a veneer on the internet
Yep, we need more real talk! Glad you’re sharing your knowledge with the world.
I found this site searching for a finance blog
I am actually taking a personal finance class in college right now, and the instructor wants us to subscribe to a newsletter, blog, or podcast for the semester and learn from real world investors. This website was listed as one of the options that we could subscribe to. I’m already glad I did.
Whoa that’s so cool! Thank you! Would love to learn more about what is taught in your pf class… :)
Hi JMoney! Been following you since before baby Dime was born. WELCOME BACK! You have been missed.
Rock on!! Let’s do this thing all over again, shall we? :)
Long time fan since back in the day…
Soooooo Happy for YOU and all the ‘loose change’ at home! The Universe works sometimes in strange and Wondrous Ways! ” The long and winding road that brings us back……!
Totally :)
I found you at Accidental FIRE through a link he posted.
Rock on!
He just helped me launch our new line of merch today ;)

Hi! Glad to have found you via Great Escape Publishing/International Living.
I’m planning to start traveling internationally, living in various (International Living suggested locations) for 3 – 6 months or more.
(It might take a year or so to get up to traveling full time, but that’s the overall plan. )
Anyhow, I plan to start my own blog, and I have a trip to Costa Rica booked for July 2nd! The start of the journey….
I look forward to following you!
Hey Will – nice to e-meet you!
So cool you’re setting out on new adventures over there… can’t wait until my kids are a bit older so i can start thinking more of that too- I don’t have the energy to try it while they’re so young, lol…
I 100% hope you create the blog!! never know what opportunities can come from it – i certainly didn’t think it would turn into something I spent over 1/3 of my life on AND got paid for it!! amazing what passion and the internet can do in combination :)
I want the link as soon as it’s live please!! And hit up Costa Rica FIRE when you make it out there!
Motley fool link in an article

Thanks for giving it a shot!
Good morning, I found you in one of Fritz’s Gilberts articles In his Retirement Manifesto Blog. If Fritz found you interesting, you must be good and I’m looking forward to reading all your stuff, thanks for the opportunity.
🙏 🙏
I found you at jim@wallethacks.com. Wow, what a wealth of information. Can’t wait to dive headfirst into it. I have a wonderful place I’ve used online for over 15 years for my sinking funds. It is http://www.smartypig.com and their interest rate right now is 2.25% for the first $10,000. They are a division of sallie mae. Check them out. I love them!
oh yeah – i remember those guys! used to be HUGE back in the day and haven’t heard much about them since… glad to see they’re still around! (and thanks for giving my blog a shot!)
I found you via Fritz@RetirementManifesto. :)
Great guy! Thanks for being here :)
I found you on Twitter through your pinned Tweet regarding hate mail. Then I was hooked when I saw your short Twitter bio, “The Miley Cyrus of Finance.” hahaha
Haha, rock on…
Pretty sure that one was meant as some hate too but had to flip it 😎
Listening you right now with aussie firebug
Oooh that was a fun podcast! Thanks for stopping by the blog!
JMoney,
I want to personally thank you for your message to me back in 2017 after I retired from the Air Force about how I could become part of the Million Dollar Club. You turned me on to the military group. Brother I want to tell you we hit it in April 2019. But staying agressive and making money while others were losing it during the pandemic and in 2022, we have become mulit-baggers in the million dollar club now. Also, your net worth spreadsheet was worth it’s weight in gold and diamonds…and glad you’re back!!
The Military Mogule
nice dude!! so glad to hear this! will have to dig through my emails now and see what magic I sent you, lol…
here’s to more of The Good Life! :)
I my husband recently to a hospital error. Not only grieving, but trying to make ends meet now. I found a link on The Penny Hoarder. I need ideas that will bring in extra cash or I’m on a trail to lose everything.
Nikki – I lost my husband in June of 2021. If you need some specific guidance, I will gladly do what I can.
Your blog was recommended at the end of this article…!

Hi Miriam!! Always fun to see you here ;) I feel those vibes even through the text!
I used to follow you back in the day, but unsubscribed after you sold the blog! I just realized you’re back (2 years too late). Always loved seeing the random money apps and spreadsheets, and other tidbits you used to share. I still use a lot of them today!
hey!! COOL! welcome back to the fun side! :) I don’t blog nearly as much as i used to these days but I still pop in here and there when I’m burning to get something out…
hope you’ve been good over the years!
Oh I’m so happy I found you again! I was part of the Rockstar Finance forum and still miss it! As a result of learning new skills and just hanging out with the successful people in that community, I managed to double my income in 3 years and get closer to reaching my FIRE goals. I’ve followed you for awhile and just did a search to see if you were still blogging and was so happy to come across this content. Thanks for all you’ve done for the personal finance community. I’m very grateful.
Yay!!! So glad you’re here again now too :) I don’t blog nearly as much as I used to but every now and then I’ll pop in and share some thoughts… Really nice of you to take the time to comment – thank you 🙌
